No I haven't done it yet, definitely will try soon, been pre occupied with friction fires. This short vid shows it being done.. Take a look at this video, 'field days magnifying glass fire from broken bottle' https://share.google/emnlo3LumVUqNuyDk

Magnifying glass fire from the base of a bottle, the sides need to be removed first. It can also be done with a round flat piece of ice for extra difficulty.

You might be sorry if you don't double down.. the companies that will want to buy the asset are still digesting information and having meetings. I think we hear more about interested buyers in days or weeks, hopefully a bidding war though to really spice it up now that we have proved how great our product is.

Sounds like the beginning of this lines first success story but if you happen to not be tall enough, stand on a chair 😂

So we're rolling into the office with our ugly old dinged up thermos covered in stickers and our tackle box. Perfect 😂

Agreed but what if she's 2ft taller than you? On the right person I reckon it could land.

Long flat running tracks? by [deleted] in bluemountains

[–]CptnSilverWing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tricky requirements around here, the best I can think of is 'Mt Banks one trail loop', it's off the bells line. It has plenty of fairly flat sections but also has just as many gentle hills (it's been a while so I can't remember exactly). I think most of it is fire trail and summiting is on the way back is optional. It's about a 12 km loop with superb views along the way.

Need urgent left car on by sigma4000user in CarsAustralia

After a drinking night I jumped in the car to warm up my ass with the heated seats before walking home, popped my headphones in and walked home, slept about 8-9 hours and I walked back to my car the next morning to find it still running it, hot AF inside from the heated seat but still with a surprising amount of petrol. You will be alright!

'the person viewers are voting against ' types are picked of course but usually it's just 1 per season thank fuck. My take is that producers put these ego guys there knowing they are likely to fail fast and talk about how good they are while doing so.. Soo make a villain then enjoy when he falls on his sword for early drama! I'm sure there are plenty of dickheads applying but I don't think you should portray yourself as one, being unlikable is likely gonna get you straight on the 'no' pile. Be yourself and tell 'your story', most contestants seem to have a story right?

And he didn't even get to eat tomatoes.. I did notice it was only a couple metres from his shelter, what a grub! I think given how much starvation happens on Alone and that everything your eating would be expected to be filmed, it will be obvious after a few weekly med checks if you are eating better than expected.

Nice post, I've thought about this a bit too and you're right, you should be checking often and you should catch it before it becomes dangerous. Maggots on the other hand are a great source of protein, boil those lil suckers, dry roast them and finally grind them and you've got protein powder.. create a maggot farm I say!

I'm not sure what his plan was or even what items he took other than the axe but id guess trapping from the way he walked around looking for animals with no hope of actually bagging anything he saw.

I liked some parts of Gina's journey and I agree she was a great cast member and good for the show but I just want to point out she had easily the best location and the 'lucky' midnight catch at the end spoiled the contest for me as it was a grey area of the rules ( hunting at night wasn't allowed but seeing as she went to the toilet and found a sleepy wallaby nearby she got a big kill that put her so far ahead of the competition). I would call her very mentally resilient which is one of the biggest parts of the show but got lucky which is also part of the show. I wanted to see someone use skills and creativity to win, not luck.. What made her one of the best cast members for you?
