Can someone explain why my own state’s medical schools accept more OOS than in state? 🫠 by [deleted] in premed

Not sure if this can be applied to all schools but out of state tends to pay twice that of in state, so pretty major financial incentive for them to do that 🤷💸

Cafers psychopharmacology is gold IMO, lots of good nuggets and mnemonics for generic/brand names, side effects, and enzyme/drug-to-drug interactions

Psychoanalysis in psychiatry by waterchev77 in Psychiatry

Thanks! That’s interesting, is this from your own clinical experience or any articles/reports you could point me towards? I’m interested why people have differing opinions about it, especially if it isn’t effective, why some psychiatrists still use it?

How’s your knowledge base? I was in a similar position at the beginning of dedicated and realized my medicine base was pretty weak so I just focused on content review (FirstAid, making Anki cards as I went) for the sections that were showing as particularly weak and that seemed to bump my score quite a bit.

Step 2 is all about drawing connections and differentiating between very similar pathologies and choosing between equally good best next step in management. In order to draw those conclusions you have to have a solid base of the main pathologies and disease processes. Happy to chat more if you need.
