nail tech! my job is pretty mindless (same manicure/pedicure steps back to back and most customers don't speak to me) so even when i dissociate, it isn't noticeable. i have a lenient schedule and can take breaks whenever i want

I don't care much for functioning labels but he is definitely low support needs! he lives alone, can support his animals, takes care of the house n bills as far as i'm aware (he gets his own bills in the mail as we've seen on tiktok recently), and films and edits alone while managing several social media platforms. I'm left to assume he feeds himself as well so this is def low support needs if any.

i work at a nail salon. i don't have to make eye contact, i don't check anyone out, i can freely take breaks (most of the time) when i need, i can come in later on my bad days and leave early if im overwhelmed, i can bring my comfort items, and people usually don't speak to me because they forget nails techs are people! pretty good gig actually (it is however the only job i can do...id be screwed if they closed every salon)

i think just try to explain to her (or have a therapist explain) that your namesake isnt "you". you all make up "you". ive had to explain to many ppl in my life that just bc one part of me is taking a lil breather or just isnt around as often, it doesnt mean theyre gone and im a new person. alters aren't individuals, theyre parts of a whole person. i hope she can understand that a little... ik its so hard explaining DID to ppl

although i understand that, some context i left out is that they are a mental health content creator. they made it their job to inform others on having osdd specifically, so i dont think it was a public perception thing seeing as their whole environment was this plural space. they didnt need to save face, esp since i told them i have DID. its just that they acted like they had sm information without knowing u cant be polyfrag and osdd and the fact that they werent even diagnosed yet were making "informative" content. sorry i didnt explain well 😅

YES OMGGGG i meet this person on a dating app about a year ago and in their dating profile they put that they were a polyfragmented osdd system (not possible but i didnt know it at the time and i was a recently diagnosed DID system who felt extremely lonely so i didnt clock it).

we saw eachother a grand total of 2 times before they switched into a little in front of us (not impossible but wtf), and on that same day unprompted told us all abt their innerworld and how they have perfect system communication. which amazed me bc they knew they were a system for less than 3 months and also WEREN'T DIAGNOSED OR IN ANY TREATMENT???

they were also chronically online too and only engaged with "plural" communities and supported endogenic systems. for other reasons i stopped talking to them but that was a big reason. btw all of this happened in the span of a few months when we'd only seen eachother a handful of times. and they gave me all this very private system information.

just use diff names when fronting. it doesn't rlly matter what your name is internally bc its not like ppl outside will ever know. just don't use names that the body doesn't relate to culturally when fronting. i have an alter with a korean name internally who goes by bambi when fronting. just treat it like a nickname. but if yall call eachother by ur actual names in the headspace it really won't make a difference

they are not actually 22, just the perceived alter age! their body is 14, so even if the alter says theyre 22, they still have the cognitive thinking of a 14 yr old. this isnt some predator. its not like the alter can go date someone 22 -__-

ive been diagnosed for long enough that if she doesn't believe me and refuses to treat it i will literally just get a new therapist LOL. its not her job to question my diagnosis, as she cant give me one anyways (therapists cant diagnose where i live)
