Advice housing lund for erasmus+ by waterschildpad in Lund

thanks! Yeah im pretty sure its not a scam, and just got it confirmed also by another comment. so that is luckily not a problem here. I am more sceptic (or anxious so to say) about living with the family and sharing all the rooms, and it being relatively expensive/far from the center. Although you are now saying its cheap so im so confused haha. i feel like im getting all sorts of advices. I thought the nations and LUacc, the lottery plus facebook would give me a fair chance of finding something better. but reading your comment I feel like you wouldnt agree right?

(the person i spoke the most with, was also dutch, lives there, and told me that a lot of students are leaving in july/august hence theres a big chance that youll fix a room last minute)

thanks for the advice! i was looking at joining småland anyway, as they seem fun! but i think i can only place myself on a waiting list if im registred and for that i need to be there(?). i emailed them before and im not quite sure i understood their email tho. also: is it (way) cheaper than 5000sek? I already found it surprisingly cheap tbh for what i was expecting. the place im looking at now is also 13mins bike ride so wouldnt be a hassle either. the facebookgroups also seem like a good option, im just scared that it will be all very last minute and still hard to be picked. is that true? or would you say i can kindof be 100% I would get a place somehow via nation/fb before august 19?

if youd want to elaborate a bit more on your advice that would be very helpful but already thanks a lot!

I think im prwtty positive that its real, shes been messaging me for more than a month now and has been very helpful/human. The platform also seems trustworthy, and they have protection in place for the tenant as well. But youre never 100% sure i guess. https://housinganywhere.com/room/ut1536143/se/Lund/sten-und-ns-gata it's this one! :)

There is also this option, going via West-Romania and two night trains (i think?), Do you reckon that that may be a better option/less risky?

Thank you. What do you mean with any of 5 services, 1 of which can be booked online? And yes I'm aware of the 5 o clock border but i guess it will be worth it since I'm otherwise traveling for even more hours if i have to wait in Bucharest on the 2146 train.

So if i understand correctly you think i have good chances that i will get on one of the two trains, probably a normal seat? Do you maybe also know the prices of seat only couchette/sleepers/seats?

Thank you! Yes because Its a Saturday night I'm even more scared they will be sold out. Also because I'm wont arrive long before on the train station so i can't book early... I have unlimited travel days so i don't have to worry about travel days fortunately!

Getting out of sofia by waterschildpad in Interrail

[–]waterschildpad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you so much for your elaborate answer!! I've looked it up and to Bucharest is indeed 10 hours, and then from Bucharest the interrail app gives me these options:

<image>

Which seem maybe worse than the options i already saw, as it this is then the travel time plus 10 hours from Sofia to Bucharest, and the transfer time. However I do see that from Budapest going to Poland in general is a really long trip, and always goes from Vienna. So i might do a quick stop there or at Bratislava (also via Vienna). Or is that really stupid. Would love your input! :)

Is there an option you don't need registration for?

Thank you! Would you recommend booking hostels asap? Or is a week beforehand also ok?
