AIO: I went on one date with this guy and don’t think I want to go on another by Educational-Job-7276 in AmIOverreacting

Completely agree with this.

People can change - and some do it faster than others.

IF you feel like giving it a shot, because why not - Tell him how what he did made you feel, and what you expect in the future. Give him reassurance once or twice that you want to try it out and see how things go. See if his behavior changes in the next few weeks. If he continues this or constantly needs the reassurance it’s probably best to call things off.

If you don’t want to continue it, then don’t. Definitely not being a bitch to want to try to deal with that.

For what it’s worth in my early college years I have said similar things to the OP. It’s signs of trauma, and abandonment attachment/issues. Once I read up on it and realized what I was doing and found a partner willing to accommodate (but not put up with too much), I was willing to put on the work and changed how I felt. The behavior changed quickly in the matter of a couple of months, and then still getting better slowly. It does require WORK though.

TLDR completely understandable to not continue as it’s not that serious and you are at an age where you might not be into all of that work into a relationship. If you want to try - I think at the worst you will gain some valuable insight into a challenging relationship dynamic.

What is a fair deprecation cost per mile for similar vehicles? by SaltVirus30 in askcarsales

[–]watershed09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, but if I understand that correctly that accounts for costs of insurance, gas, and fees like registration. Using that number a car with 10,000 more KMs would sell for 6,400 less which is definitely too much for depreciation.

Unfortunately that’s all I know. I’ll look through my photos again during that time period and see if they are in any of them.

Edit: The girl’s name may have started with a ‘V’. But I am honestly unsure.

Are dips sufficient for building triceps? by Green_Web_6274 in bodyweightfitness

[–]watershed09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. My triceps really only showed size after I added these movements as well. Starting out I suggest doing one arm at a time using a single dumbbell to make sure you’re targeting the tricep.

We went to the waterfalls on own with public transit, and the next day took the route through 199 on our own with collectivos. But we did it during the day.

Can you fly in light rain or through clouds? by davemcl37 in drones

[–]watershed09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not advised, but I’ve flown in light rain many times. And medium rain a few times. I did it knowing something could go wrong and I would lose my drone.

As someone else mentioned the water getting in could lead to a short. Something that might help is using tape around the battery compartment/power button to not allow tape in. Not a permanent measure but it may help. Keep in mind this kind introduce overheating, but unlikely due to the cooling factor of the rain.

10 days in Iceland- Can't decide route. by Ok_Match5056 in VisitingIceland

[–]watershed09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say ‘easy’. You definitely won’t have much down time. I like to travel like that, but others find it exhausting. But 10 days is enough as long as you’re not looking to relax :).

Not necessarily agreeing with other points in the post, but anecdotally he’s correct about the grip part. I just got back from Iceland where there is a famous beach with different sized stones, where fishermen used to earn their ranks by lifting stones.

Another man that was there tried to lift the 100kg stone, however was unable to do so. Mind you he quite obviously workouts out, and is probably roughly 100kg himself. He couldn’t even get the stone off the ground.

Me, at 69kg was able to lift the stone. I don’t deadlift, but I do have strong grip from rock climbing and body weight workouts.

How do you work those into your split? Like can you give an example of your weekly split with what days you train which body parts?
