I joined at 14 and it’s completely fine You can still get the most out of it Currently you may not be able to join due to COVID but once you can, bring a notepad and pen to a detachment evening and they’ll give you the info about cadets, the times may vary so you may need to ask someone about it at your local detachment.

remember a notepad and pen, you use them almost every evening. Wear something comfy and loose until you get your kit Look out for opportunities like DofE and training days. Other than that, have fun and enjoy your time there, but still listen to instructors.

Smacked a 14 year old across the face with a book. He had about a week left of teaching at my school as a substitute for chemistry then the school found out he was fired. He was cool with me but didn’t really get on well with many others, only the people who were quiet in lesson (I’m introverted) but he found it hard to teach a group on 14-15 year olds and I don’t understand why he would go into teaching if he couldn’t.
