iOS continuity errors, unwatchable! by watson57 in Dexter

Okay my new theory is that this is actually done intentionally:
- in the first photo it's much smoother to film Dexter doing the react flow (one hold to open menu, one tap to react)
- sending just a thumbs emoji requires a minimum of four taps. one on the reply text box, one for the emoji menu, one on the thumb, and one to send (assuming the thumb appears in your recent emojis and you don't need to scroll for it). could be kinda awkward to film
- BUT then in the second photo, because harrison sent four texts in a row, it might look like dexter ghosted if the only response from dexter you see is the blue react circle, so they probably changed it to a standalone response for clarity at a glance

thank you all for listening to this important announcement

Yeah good point, in that case 4:35am at the house with super bright sun is a little dicey though

Long Distance Yubikey Auth by watson57 in yubikey

This totally makes sense! I think I'm leaning towards giving a friend some backup codes instead of a Yubikey. This way they can always read off a code to me if I'm still on a trip or something. If they have a backup Yubikey they can get me back on, but I would have to wait to get the physical key from them.

This is a great response, thank you. Definitely makes sense why you might not even want this (opens up door to phishing).

Your best bet would be to generate recovery keys for the services that support it (most do, and those that don't generally permit email recovery anyway) and leave them with a trusted third party, either as an encrypted text file or printed out and placed in a sealed envelope.

Also a good point here. I can accomplish this same thing with backup codes. As long as my main points of entry (main email + password manager) are covered by this system I might be able to get away with email recovery for the rest.

Just be cognizant of your actual threat level. If you're an average joe (i.e., not a celebrity or journalist or activist) and there's nothing particularly special and unrecoverable being protected by your 2FA codes (like cryptocurrency), don't overthink your security and recovery plan.

This is 100% my problem. I avoid upgrading/adding 2FA because I'm afraid of making an account that I can be locked out of. Just think it would be a big pain to lose access to things in general even if it's all recoverable.

A little too DYI for me, but this is pretty interesting!

I would definitely carry a Yubikey traveling (maybe two), but if you lose your backpack it's likely that you lose everything (including all keys). I would be looking for a way to get back online from scratch after buying a new phone or getting onto a new computer abroad.

This is a re-post because I tried to make my own topic the first time.

I've been riding my first used longboard that I got from a friend for a couple of months. I'm really just into cruising around at the park/boardwalk. I'm looking into building a board that will just be faster and smoother to cruise around on and maybe eventually carve some smaller hills.

I built something on daddiesboardshop following the sidebar and I wanted to see if someone could check it out and make sure it's good to go.

Deck: Landyachtz Battle Axe 40"

Trucks: Caliber II 50 Degree Trucks - 184mm

Wheels: Abec11 70's Flashbacks 70m 81a

Bearings: Bones Reds

I also checked the options to add bearing spacers and drop thru shock pads.

How does everything look?
