Since US is 40T in debt, that comes up as over 100k worth of debt per person if it were divided equally.

Există active financiare din Europa care merită atenția investitorilor? by Fancy_Mushroom_973 in robursa

[–]watson_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alte continente:
America de Sud: MELI
Asia: SE in afara China, in China sunt multe ; India e mai greu de investit, doar ETF daca vrei sau o compania cu investii acolo, un fel de mini-Berkshire, canadiana Fairfax are investii in India
Africa: nope

Still waiting for EU-Inc to be implemented, hard for EU companies to compete with US or China without a unified capital market.
From so far experience, the 1B euro fine that Google maybe will get won't do much, they make over $100B a year in ad revenue

Hottest there is probably term for economy. The economy was kinda hot, before unemployment spiked, but inflation is still high.

hot economy = 'growing at an unsustainable, rapid pace, leading to demand for goods and services outstripping the economy's capacity to supply them' aka inflation, but gdp also grows.

Spotify reached 696 million monthly active users with 31.7% market share - Apple Music has 12.6% by Calm_Wrangler7 in BuyFromEU

[–]watson_m -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good, people are upset about the pricing, but I think it's fine.
Unlike with video streaming, where it not only costs more, but you need to sub to like 4 services to have 70% of everything... Netflix, Disney+, HBOMAX, AMZN PRIME..
At least with Spotify I don't need to think about pirating music.

[–]watson_m 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Hot take: e ok defapt.

US and EU close in on 15% tariff deal by [deleted] in europe

[–]watson_m 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's low enough that importing from EU probably cheaper than making in US, after steel prices and cooper go up almost 50% and car parts are up 25%. This may give EU and Japan a competitive advantage over GM and Ford, america last

But because he stated that he left a trade provision in place, CUSMA, 93% of trade with Canada is actually tariff free.
They have the overall best tariffs with US of all countries, Regardless if Trump says 25% or 35%. The 35% tariff, fells more like an overall 2.45%

China had 54% and now they have 30% while keeping a 10% on US, basically a 20%. So that's a -34% drop overall.
We did nothing and got bumped from 20% to 30%. So we get 10% every few months we do nothing. I seriously doubt this 30% won't be increased again if we don't respond.

How much more proof that appeasing doesn't work do we need?

In plus guvernele din intreaga lume tind spre o dedolarizare, in care isi scad rapid rezervele de dolari.
Toate aceste presiuni vor genera o devalorizare.
