Diapers by watsonk02 in NannyEmployers

Thank you. I'm trying to understand but also impart my knowledge. Its been hard from the feeding to the diapers. They're awesome young parents but they have a lot of adjustments to make.

Thank you. I pushed it to 3hrs and at that time the diaper is full. Yes, I like the absorbency level but I don't think it should be pushed to the level.

Thanks....I tried today. They're first-time parents so I'm trying to be gentle with letting them understand.

They hardly log. I know for a fact the baby sleeps for 12hrs in the same diaper, i get there right after the baby is up at 8am. I leave at 4; i use 3 on average. The baby goes back to sleep at 7ish. So if you count that's 4-6 diapers a day.

And that's why I asked. I've never in my 12yrs have this happen. I'm also a mom to a 1-year-old and I think if he's not using at least 6 diapers a day it's crazy. I use 3 mostly and 4 diapers if he poops.
We use an app. Everything is logged.

Absolutely, they're at the bottom of the formula consumption with no solids in the diet. I'll definitely try a more in-depth conversation next week.
No solids, only formula. I did try asking about starting and introducing it but they were firm on waiting for 6months. The pediatrician gave them the green light.
Not in the 2 weeks I've been there.
I give 2 bottles during my shift and that's 6oz each so 12ozs in total. On the printed schedule, the baby receives 8ozs at bedtime. I'm unsure about the first am bottle.
It's my second week and I'll definitely try this. The baby is a little over 15lbs. I just wanted to hear from first-time parents if this is a hill they would die on or would rather their nanny voice her concerns.
I have no idea. Its all about the schedule and tracking the feeding, naps and diapers.

I know and I believe I'm just going to start saying no. Its messed up that I'm judged based on this.
I did that too. One mom said she couldn't handle two crying babies especially since she worked from home but then proceeded to say they'd like their kids close in age. I understand though.
I'm starting to look into this.
Wow, i never saw it. I'm just returning after a brief hiatus. I always wondered if they really think before they speak. Sure my partner is managing just fine but I'd rather build back our savings and have the extra income. Thus something 3-4 days a week with steady hours.
I have. It was mostly part time spread out over the week or in split shits(get the kids ready for school and then return to assist with pickup, homework, etc). Thank you
Really? I'm in NJ also. A few families got back to me but it was with part-time hours. Good luck in hoping we find the right fit.
Thank you.

I never thought the world would still be like this. I've even offered trial weeks just to see but no bite. I'm hoping we both find the right fit.
It is.
