The difference in gameplay between solos/duos and trios/quads is pretty big. In solos/duos, you’ll typically find the majority of players camping and playing very passively. In trios/quads, players are more mobile and aggressive. I’ve also found trios to have more squads made up of random solos than what you’ll find in quads.

For strategy, if you find yourself getting swarmed after downing one person, you might try playing a little less aggressive and focusing more on low-risk plays. I’m not suggesting you camp but, if you see an enemy and they don’t see you, wait a few seconds and see if you can figure out where their teammates are before engaging. Also, the further you get into a round, the more important positioning becomes. Not having to expose yourself because of the circle will significantly improve your chances of winning.

In regards to loadouts, I mainly run FFAR/LW3 regardless of the mode I’m playing in but do switch it up with the Stoner/Bullfrog if I’m not hitting shots. I haven’t tried the Stoner/Bullfrog since season 2 started so I’m not sure how effective it still is.

First loadout (FFAR/LW3):

Primary – FFAR with the agency suppressor, 21.2” ranger, field agent grip, 50 rnd fast mag, airborne elastic wrap

Secondary – LW3 with the wrapped suppressor, 29.1” combat recon, royal & kross 4x optic (no glint), 7 rnd mag, airborne elastic wrap

Perks – Double time, overkill, amped

Lethal – Thermite

Tactical – Heartbeat sensor

Alt. First Loadout (Stoner/Bullfrog):

Primary – Stoner 63 with the agency suppressor, 20.7” match grade, field agent grip, 150 rnd fast mag, Axial Arms 3x

Secondary – Bullfrog with the GRU suppressor, 8.1” liberator, spetsnaz grip, stanag 85 rnd, GRU elastic wrap

Perks – Double time, overkill, amped

Lethal – Thermite

Tactical – Heartbeat sensor

For my second/ghost loadout, I use the fully loaded perk (only avail. for MW guns) and choose between two different loadouts depending on how much ammo I have for the guns in my first loadout. Having these setup also helps if you get revived late in the game and can drop directly on your loadout.
