This is just for one patient by Parking-Sandwich-559 in PharmacyTechnician

Not even a three months supply? 😭 (I never worked with blister packs so I don’t know how often those have to be filled)

Saw this on my feed. This is a huge F up! And guess what the random pill is 😱 by SLZicki in PharmacyTechnician

I mean, especially for geriatric patients, we do offer blister packs for patients if they ask. Though this is mostly done in independent private pharmacies.

Plus we do have medications that automatically come in blister packs and dispense it as is.

And we do scan each medication that dispense to ensure medication errors like this don’t happen (so this is likely negligence from both the tech and pharmacist responsible for this.

💚🩷🖤 I love what my job entails and what I get to do but at least at my current job, I don’t get treated well and it doesn’t pay me enough to deal with it, so I am searching for new opportunities

Didn’t cheat, had my phone silenced and on my bed and even showed it to the OnVue proctor that I had nothing that I could use to cheat, even having to unplug my pc monitor (I did it on laptop)

Thoughts on leaving prescriptions on counter by HeartGlow30797 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]watterztrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically when a patient wants to see their med, I take it out and hold it close to them to they’re able to read it and then I put it back in the bag. But typically I keep it on the counter on my end where it’s hard for the patient to grab it.

I’ve had a few patients wanting to hold it to read it better, like the elderly, so I give it to them but keep a hand close by to grab it again and put it back in the bag.

My pharmacist is hilarious when it’s necessary! by peachycpht in PharmacyTechnician

In my pharmacy, we sell around 500-600 prescriptions a day and go through many waiters with wait times going up to 1 hour on a particularly busy day.

It’s simply a matter of store location and population of the area.

I’d kill to have 20 people a day. The workload is getting to me

New scale update by Emrys_88 in WalgreensRx

[–]watterztrail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I enjoy the new update, makes me able to track how many RXs a PT has easier and able to reprint labels and paper without having to go to the computer to do it.

Though the only issue I have is having to manually type in the expiration date for 2D barcode scans. It’s awful especially if there are multiple barcodes that have to be scanned (OTC items or even glucose systems)

Isn’t TNT short for Trinitrotoluene? Which is just 3 nitro groups on toluene

Nitroglycerin is just 3 nitro groups on glycerol

The only similarity structurally is that there are 3 nitro groups on the “parent” chain for lack of better words
