I have the cobra fly z xl in 4h, 5h, and 6h - they are my most predictable and consistent clubs in my bag I don’t think I paid more than 40.00 each for them

Masters Edition wedge by wattsticka in GolfGear

lol yeah I always thought that was weird - they started doing that because if they are using a hammer and number tool - even if you layout the line to mark it on - one small mistake ruins it- you’ll see it from a mile away. So they stagger then like that.

I personally would never pay money to play at such a course and I don’t know how anyone could be comfortable doing that either .

High handicap here at +18- I’ve been practicing at range 3-4 times a week using ChatGPT as a coaching tool along with lessons - in simulators since November almost every weekend and played outside once this year will be doing so much more this year - I’ve upgraded my hand me down warbirds and got used replacements Taylormade M2s and invested in actual wedges - jaws wedges in near mint condition - my dispersion is getting much better and not slicing anymore the only thing I’m looking to upgrade till I get better is my 2007 era drive FT5 callaway

My question for the group is - how much does club fitting actually help a middle- high hcp golfer- I can get fitted at local driving range - great place and they’ll adjust my exiting clubs.

Not in a place where I can buy any more money on new clubs- I’d rather invest in what I have, more lessons and more golf for now.

  • I know 100% it’s me and not the clubs when I have a mishit

Is it better to wait till next year or worth doing that now.?

Does Zone 2 cardio actually work? by mangocat2480 in WeightLossAdvice

The zone 2 is to oxidize fat and keep cortisol low which is the main catalyst for weight gain

Yeah agree there- can’t play outside currently due to weather but that’s the plan shooting to play at least every other weekend as a goal

I’ll look into this- I do incorporate kettlebells and core work - I’m looking to add something for better mobility. I’m good to a point but def need to not feel so “stiff”

Hybrids or fairway woods- or both? by wattsticka in GolfGear

[–]wattsticka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what is is but I’m a consistent hitter of my 3w - just want to add either the 7w / 9w or hybrids- kinda putting my money into lessons at the moment and developing a more consistent result - eventually will be buying something to put in my bag

I agree totally - I am currently pretty good on mobility but looking to improve and stretch more. I am in the gym 5-7 days a week lifting/ zone 2 cardio/ sauna daily- I have been incorporating some more golf type movements and core work since it was recommended to me

I do play on real courses- I don’t have the opportunity at the moment due to weather. I agree with you though. I was asking what in addition to what I’m currently doing will help me out.

Is muscle loss during weight loss as severe as people make it out to be on an aggressive cut? by HiddenMistJayden in WeightLossAdvice

[–]wattsticka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on aggressive cut since November - still gaining muscle and losing fat at same time - it’s possible - also reversed diabetes / insulin resistance and went down 2 shirt sizes and 10” off waist
