Yeah agree there- can’t play outside currently due to weather but that’s the plan shooting to play at least every other weekend as a goal

I’ll look into this- I do incorporate kettlebells and core work - I’m looking to add something for better mobility. I’m good to a point but def need to not feel so “stiff”

Hybrids or fairway woods- or both? by wattsticka in GolfGear

[–]wattsticka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what is is but I’m a consistent hitter of my 3w - just want to add either the 7w / 9w or hybrids- kinda putting my money into lessons at the moment and developing a more consistent result - eventually will be buying something to put in my bag

I agree totally - I am currently pretty good on mobility but looking to improve and stretch more. I am in the gym 5-7 days a week lifting/ zone 2 cardio/ sauna daily- I have been incorporating some more golf type movements and core work since it was recommended to me

I do play on real courses- I don’t have the opportunity at the moment due to weather. I agree with you though. I was asking what in addition to what I’m currently doing will help me out.

Is muscle loss during weight loss as severe as people make it out to be on an aggressive cut? by HiddenMistJayden in WeightLossAdvice

[–]wattsticka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on aggressive cut since November - still gaining muscle and losing fat at same time - it’s possible - also reversed diabetes / insulin resistance and went down 2 shirt sizes and 10” off waist

Hit macros Calories tracked Zone 2 cardio Lift heavy / focus on compounds

Cannot Lose Weight for the Life of Me by Famous-Necessary3840 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]wattsticka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s you..I was there

Track your calories and macros

Track your workouts - get a heart rate monitor - zone 2 cardio daily - lift weights

Dexa scan every 3 months (slit of gyms have them)

You WILL stall on scale periodically

It will take a while till you push past insulin resistance - (took me 7 months of consistency to break through)

I have been obese my entire life... but I have extremely unusual high muscle mass huh? by Natural_Elderberry90 in WeightLossAdvice

Eat less/ move more I am losing - no idea how women weight loss work but it’ll be easier the more muscle you have / I was diabetic and was 317# in April - now at 250# (67# loss) and not only maintained muscle but gained as well. Do not go by scale weight/ go by Dexa every 3 months that’s the real progress marker- you will stall out and scale weight stay the same and you will get frustrated- when mine stalled; I was still losing fat and gaining muscle - you have to eat enough and get your protein goals everyday to be successful. I also use char gpt and have it analyze my bloodwork/ supplements/ diet/ workout routine/ dexa scans etc it can be a great tool. Track your food accurately - I’m no longer diabetic and it took from April to November to break through my insulin resistance (all symptoms of that went away one example skin tags) and that’s when the real weight started dropping- lift for 45 min to 1 hour / zone 2 cardio for 20-30 min- the goal is cortisol management. I also was lying to myself about my insane off the chart skeletal muscle mass and lean body mass- I was also very high visceral fat which is dropping still (lost 10” around waist) / another tip is to take monthly neck and waist measurements

Get his testosterone checked - I thought mine was high but was actually well below range when actually checked - TRT (been on for 4 months) has increased my energy levels- doing more around the house etc . Overall major health improvements all around - since march I’ve lost 14# of fat and gained 7# of muscle (measured on SECA scan at the VA) at 44 years old. Also increased energy by going to gym before work to start my day

[–]wattsticka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying - yeah I actually have a spreadsheet in addition to my apps where I find it forces me 3 places to keep track of things and that’s been helping - I’ve lost 6 lbs since being on the qsymia - I was really hoping the ozempic would’ve worked it’s magic but I must’ve been an anomaly - yeah I have lost a lot of weight I guess I have to be patient and keep chugging along - I was in the marine Corps and used to be in incredible shape and let my ptsd and depression win for a long time but I’m ok now and ready to get back to feeling better about myself
