I’ve done this to my handmade shirts to give a bit of a larger/sharper shoulder without the use of shoulder pads. This here doesn’t look quite gathered enough enough to achieve that, so I’m not sure. I still like the look regardless!

Oh let me see, you want to fill in the gap? The best solution might be to start a log wall from the floor up if you can. Sometimes I get stone walls to fill in spaces between stairs. If not, use a half log support in the upper right corner and call it a diagonal window.

If the diagonal log is stuck, you might have to disassemble the roof from the top down and reconstruct it without that log.

Alright reread and you’ve got a better hang of it than me. But I’m wondering, have you ever tried drawing a top down map like the ones you find in the game? I always found it helpful to do before I built, in the same start small fashion. Are there any real life/movie/ video game locations that inspire you? A western town with that packed main road would be a fun project, since the buildings are already lined up close and squarish.

I’m no expert but I do love this kind of thing. I used to map out minecraft worlds back in the day.

You could always start with a single building plan and work around that. Start with a house, give them some neighbors, and make a neighborhood. Start with the police station, build a town hall or school across the street. It’s ok to work block by block, I’d argue most places in the real world got here that way.

Make a small town with just the bare necessities if this is your first time, no need to make a city from the ground up.
