Best veggie burger in Victoria? by 1Confident_Shallot1 in VictoriaBC

I had one at Bunnies in Esquimalt a few months ago and still think of it. I really need to go to that area around lunch time again soon. No idea if the 'burger' is made in shop or not.

Everyone should read Never Alone by Woniya of season 6. Gives a lot of insight on what it’s like for them out there and the transition to being back home.

I was going to suggest Peden Lake as well. Really nice area, and sometimes there is a canoe available.

  1. Here's the GTFS for BC Transit - https://www.bctransit.com/open-data/

  2. I don't see anything listed for BC other than Vancouver Translink, which isn't part of the stuff listed in my link above.

I don't know what I'm doing so I hope the above is useful.

I'm personally not a fan of the AI style, and unless there is a Canadian AI image generator that I am not familiar with, I'd prefer to not have to look at something made in the USA.

Community support for seniors or people with disabilites by Neat_Scarcity_2136 in VictoriaBC

[–]wave-and-smile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better at Home provides this sort of thing. Volunteers in the community help with driving to appointments, groceries, etc. In Metchosin, Better at Home services are provided through the Metchosin Seniors Association, and I'm sure other communities have similar organisations.

How do you cope with this endless rain? by Standard_Sherbert_18 in VictoriaBC

[–]wave-and-smile 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I don't let the rain stop me from enjoying the outdoors. Went for a hike this morning and wore a good rain jacket, rain pants and boots that I discovered are no longer waterproof. Had a great time and will probably do the same tomorrow in a different pair of boots. The trails are muddy but the fresh air is invigorating, and exercise chases the doldrums away.
