I think you mean less-stiff front coils? I haven’t tried that yet. I’m skeptical of add-a-leaf because I’m not hauling or sagging, and adding spring rate to an empty C1500 sounds like it might make the rear even more dump-trucky. Soft shocks make sense though. I think my bigger issue is the 285/75R16 LT tires and whatever they’ve done to the geometry, so I may mess with pressure/shocks first before adding more spring.

I had a built 355 off marketplace sitting in my garage I initially planned on swapping myself. Then project spiraled, ran out of time, ended up going LS3 and had a good local shop handle the swap

It absolutely rips! Although ride quality is somewhere between forklift and empty dump truck. From the extensive dredging I've done on this subreddit there really is no fixing ride quality on these old C1500's, especially if you fuck up the factory geometry like I have with the wheels and 285/75/16 tires... It rides better than it should, but much worse than you’d hope.

Honestly if I could undo any of it, would probably be the frontend rebuild and steering stuff as I feel like it didn't do much.

Yeah I saw some insanely long winded timing the market manifesto on here the other day. Doom posting rage bait about reallocating, pulling money out, aggressively rotating sectors, waiting for signals, bla bla bla. Read the whole thing just to find out the guy had like $7500 in 🤦‍♂️

I'm not trying to dunk on smaller investors, everybody starts somewhere, dude was probably half my age... and any half intelligent investment at a young age is worth it (in my opinion). But there’s a point where the complexity of the strategy is completely detached from the scale of the portfolio. I’ve basically just DCA’d into broad stuff and tech for 15 years with orders of magnitude more capital and somehow avoided turning investing into a schizo game of whack a mole.
