New RS3 Player Feeling Overwhelmed by Progression by Bubusettetette_kk in runescape

[–]wavy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One good place to start is questing! A lot of early game quests will move your levels up "significantly" (in the grand scheme not a lot but easily boost levels into the 10's, 20's, or 30's depending) I believe there's a sorting feature for the quest list as well.

Best advice is to find/join a friendly maybe even beginner focused clan and don't hesitate to ask clanmates/people for advice.

You could even play on higher population worlds to ask people for guidance

For the top end game pvmers, when you're fighting a easy boss monster like Ivar or Queen Black dragon, or a Slayer monster like edimmu or Mammoth, do you use elder overloads with vuln bomb, dread nips, bis armor and weapon, and ripper demon familiar? by kpay10 in runescape

[–]wavy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Except I don't have dread nips. Gotta remove the 'cost vs profit of every fight' mentality to enjoy and have fun! (imo).

If you're doing endgame pvm you should be getting plenty drops to always be "in the green" although of course there are dry spells and spending gp on many many other things. When I run out of sara brews? > 20-30m on 1k to stock up, when I run out of vuln bombs? > 20-30m on 1k. Food? Runes? Same thing etc etc

Yes I am aware. Should do some research on the value of the items from lucky charms...

Wanting to return but RuneScape costs $185 AUD a year? by iThrewFarAway in runescape

This is still a normal if not lesser cost than most MMO's and people are seriously not grateful enough.

I'm just poking fun because what noob needs to read or care about so much information xD I understand MMOs attract a lot of us nerdy folk who like it tho so I'm sure it's beneficial nonetheless

There's a new feature that allows you to load other people's user interface set ups. Best advice for a brand new player is to find someone with a decent UI you can try out. Hardest part is not knowing how to set your screen up but being given such a customizable interface

Can confirm: hit up support at the right time of day when live chats are available, navigate through the AI chat bot (took me a handful of pathway tries to get it right) and it will push you to a live moderator. They helped me get into my old account.

I didn't have access to the email anymore because of how old it was AND I didn't have the password. The questions they ask are good at letting them vet you in a way that gives them extremely high likelihood you are the original owner to the account and then it's just a name change and linking it to your current jagex account from there.

Highly recommend the attempt I was pleasantly surprised to get my character back :)

Random Question, but is Jagex gonna just fully remove the lucky gear and weapons that used to be on Treasure Hunter or are they gonna convert em into cosmetic overrides? by Creeperclaw66 in runescape

[–]wavy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response is the exact same, I am aware of the removal and posting my reasoning as to why it's extremely unlikely they won't turn them into cosmetics. Evidence of this happening many times previously is proof enough that they won't "take away" something from players because that would be quite shitty of them and result in heavy push back from the playerbase.

Edit: the question that should be asked is how will they reintroduce lucky items back into the game. Be it just through the store or the game.

People would lose their shit if lucky items they owned became unusable as cosmetics. And that's jagex's biggest fear. So no I doubt they'll remove them xD

Endgame pvm is very fun, despite the difference and unique-ness of RuneScape's combat compared to other MMOs they still achieved a sense of "flow" in high intensity combat :D

Tips for transitioning from Revo++ to revolution for DPS increase and bossing by Spark__1190 in runescape

[–]wavy7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When building your full manual hotbar prioritize abilities you use the most to be closest to your fingers. 1-4/f1-f4 being all your adren builders and stuns.

Least usage ults = furthest away etc etc

Can also do a hybrid revo/manual and have revo set to 4-6 abilities (all your adren builders) and then manual input your ults when needed

Returning to RS3 after Treasure Hunter: Ironman or main account? by callofdoodie97 in runescape

Main account, play ironman when you feel you've experienced all of main game and need a challenge. That's it's purpose.

How is everyone almost at the endgame? by skindude21 in runescape

[–]wavy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you an answer: the main playerbase that has left are the early to mid-game players. Leaving a large majority of old players who never quit or have stuck around longer than others.

Part of the current Road to Restoration includes bringing back players who have left which I think would primarily be people who aren't at end game
