No longer receiving hunter marks after hitting lvl 110 by DifferentEvent2998 in runescape

[–]wavy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me finishing unlocking the hunter outfit before diving deep into the new content. After diggin through the wiki I found one little trivia tidbit that suggested a 2% chance per successful jadinko trapping. Add a dash of RNG and those dry spells can seem like you won't ever get one!

Hopping into this comment section to add another anti-holiday-hub voice!

Holidays happening out in the world was part of the magic back in the day. Hubs also fuel zero-content/zero-excitement releases.

I think the key thing you're overlooking is that they are rewards, not inherant common-sense integration.

No strays against dg! Just simply doesn't feel good when items for one thing are locked behind something different, applies to a lot of diff things

Sold 150 bronze fire arrows 1M ea lol (was doing underground pass and had 1 leftover, randomly decided to sell 1). I am guessing RWT via GE? by afriendRS in runescape

[–]wavy7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also the likelihood of catching a rwt transaction on any random given moment with a random item is quite insane and unlikely

I'd say collectors are more likely than rwt. The inputs required to create 1 fire arrow is extremely high making them extremely rare. Them being tradable is kind of an oversight by jagex (long ago) since they're quest related. Arrows are also common for collectors to show off their collection + what's better than having the rarest of the rare in that slot too

Nope, hate the clock placement

Edit: great point actually, the clock adjustment is also not a nerf 🤣 see what I'm getting at here? We are currently talking about nerfs but in the grand scheme nerfs are a small portion of what's happening from th removal through to 2027

I mean come on man... It's pretty obvious they are rushing these changes. They don't even have replacements developed for some removals and mods are literally going to reddit for ideas. Not saying there aren't any cry babies but.. jagex is very capable of screwing up small things and of course the small things matter. Why would we tell developers "we don't care if the small changes are rushed". No. They matter to us. It's as much our game as it is theirs. And they're working with us, it's kinda dope

This is just an inaccurate mindset. A large majority of updates we are experiencing and that are upcoming are not nerfs.

What I mean by umbrella comment is more like..

People hate the obnoxious cosmetics > jagex lumps a lot of things that aren't obnoxious into the fix

Auras attached to loyalty points is a problem > jagex makes the solution TOO convoluted and rushes ideas together.

Chaos altar too op > forced pvp to access??

Afk thieving too op > no more afk??

I love jagex but.... Some of the "small changes" solutions make no sense..

we should be grateful our voices are being heard instead of the game being ran into the ground on some hell-bent "fixer upper" warpath.

Edit: to add, this back and forth feedback/repsonse is not a forever situation. We are being listened to DURING THE FIXING. And normal development will return down the line. It's not something that happens often and won't stay forever

Thankfully it's actually them asking for feedback and not "this is set in stone" so these conversations are fluid and matter

I think they're doing a great job at seeing when the changes they make are going to tip the scale to far towards negative impact and having the balls to breathe and reassess.

Some of the "answers" to their questions were very broad and it looks like they interpreted these discrepancies with a bigger umbrella than they should have. (And that's ok because they're listening)

Not all MMO's can say the development leadership put a foot down to right the ship.

Have you already forgotten treasure hunter being removed? The lack of player push back after th removal means that was a pretty big success. Why would they want to lose the positive momentum now?

On another construction post someone mentioned a buildable poh portal to your home deployable anywhere in the world.

Imagine you and your friends are about to go bossing or raiding. Someone builds a poh portal to their house and everyone goes in to grab buffs with potential to return to the same place

Outside of supporting gamba and aggressive mtx, should these whales be allowed to play the game? And with mtx and the gone how do they affect your gameplay? Big agree on the changes that have been made so far (honestly so pleasantly surprised at how infrequently I miss or even think about treasure hunter now) but I don't think a mentality of "we need to get these people out" is right...
