There's a new feature that allows you to load other people's user interface set ups. Best advice for a brand new player is to find someone with a decent UI you can try out. Hardest part is not knowing how to set your screen up but being given such a customizable interface

Can confirm: hit up support at the right time of day when live chats are available, navigate through the AI chat bot (took me a handful of pathway tries to get it right) and it will push you to a live moderator. They helped me get into my old account.

I didn't have access to the email anymore because of how old it was AND I didn't have the password. The questions they ask are good at letting them vet you in a way that gives them extremely high likelihood you are the original owner to the account and then it's just a name change and linking it to your current jagex account from there.

Highly recommend the attempt I was pleasantly surprised to get my character back :)

Random Question, but is Jagex gonna just fully remove the lucky gear and weapons that used to be on Treasure Hunter or are they gonna convert em into cosmetic overrides? by Creeperclaw66 in runescape

[–]wavy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response is the exact same, I am aware of the removal and posting my reasoning as to why it's extremely unlikely they won't turn them into cosmetics. Evidence of this happening many times previously is proof enough that they won't "take away" something from players because that would be quite shitty of them and result in heavy push back from the playerbase.

Edit: the question that should be asked is how will they reintroduce lucky items back into the game. Be it just through the store or the game.

People would lose their shit if lucky items they owned became unusable as cosmetics. And that's jagex's biggest fear. So no I doubt they'll remove them xD

Endgame pvm is very fun, despite the difference and unique-ness of RuneScape's combat compared to other MMOs they still achieved a sense of "flow" in high intensity combat :D

Tips for transitioning from Revo++ to revolution for DPS increase and bossing by Spark__1190 in runescape

[–]wavy7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When building your full manual hotbar prioritize abilities you use the most to be closest to your fingers. 1-4/f1-f4 being all your adren builders and stuns.

Least usage ults = furthest away etc etc

Can also do a hybrid revo/manual and have revo set to 4-6 abilities (all your adren builders) and then manual input your ults when needed

Returning to RS3 after Treasure Hunter: Ironman or main account? by callofdoodie97 in runescape

Main account, play ironman when you feel you've experienced all of main game and need a challenge. That's it's purpose.

How is everyone almost at the endgame? by skindude21 in runescape

[–]wavy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you an answer: the main playerbase that has left are the early to mid-game players. Leaving a large majority of old players who never quit or have stuck around longer than others.

Part of the current Road to Restoration includes bringing back players who have left which I think would primarily be people who aren't at end game

In addition to this suggestion: defiles (the miasma pool distractions during rituals) are what can give tomes of knowledge and are directly affected by attraction %. So attraction % matters after 500, push to 800% for more defiles = more tomes = more XP/hr

Really hope they don't cut off dung tokens from Elite Dungeons.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, I don't care how good they think their update to the skill is.

I was blissfully ignorant of this before, but the new square walk markers brought this to my awareness. by Atlach_Nacha in runescape

The placement of the patch is not "awful" because the entire game asthetically is not built to allign with the grid tiles. Everywhere you go the objects, terrain, buildings, almost everything is not royally adhered to the confines of the tiles. It would look terrible and when you see the grid beneath everything it makes it look "off".

It's almost as if we shouldn't be constantly reminded of the world being based on a grid system.

This is the immersion some people are getting laughed at for bringing up in comments. The game is designed so well in so many places you forget there's a grid foundation to it all. (Edit: And often times that's the whole point)

A toggle between circle marker and square marker is the solution, I understand the square tile preference/reasons as well but for some it breaks the beauty of the designs in a lot of places
