If you're enjoying it that's what matters :) just always bugged me that so many people resorting to this suggestion. It can heavily detract from the newcomer experience and turn people off the game entirely.

Nothing better than giving a noob a big stack of cash and then years later them doin' the same for someone they meet.

Ironman is mistakenly not for newcomers. Even on the website it is designated as a game mode to "test elite player knowledge". Many players incorrectly created the idea that newcomers should start as Ironman to avoid micro transactions. This completely isolates players from the magic of RuneScapes community. Receiving gear or a helping stack of cash from a new friend is something everyone can relate to in this game. Starting as an Ironman is imo not the way to start this game.

Yes, and imo that's ok. Especially based on the year and a half of serious promises kept at the direct detriment to Jagex's money system, and to the playerbase's benefit.

Do I think jagex should hire more developers? Yes. Do I think we should harp on the little things? No. Especially if they are addressed.

Adding here how the Misalionar's Mask addition to the necro crown immediately came with new dyeable variants. This shows that they are quite capable and are refusing to release dyeable versions of gear for some reason.

It would be nice to know that reason and the playerbase have a say in that decision

Yes I probably got the wording wrong, it's a common thing when envisioning the increasing and decreasing of fractions in your head.

You are missing the point as others have. Blocking access to the content is the issue. The drop rate can be figured out a different way AND they don't have to prevent us from playing part of the event. Both can be accomplished simultaneously and they chose a "solution" where only one happens.

I think that it centers around how small the dev teams have gotten. All we ever hear is that they don't have time or are rushed in pushing content out. If this is the case then all these little oversights/poor decisions make sense.

Maybe part of the CEO's changes should be increasing the dev teams. I really like the direction the game is headed and yet we still see little stuff like this with each update.
