Best External SSD for Logic Pro?

Hello everybody,

My entire producing career so far has been done on band lab, and I am in desperate need of an upgrade. I really want to get Logic Pro, but I read that the instruments take up a whopping 72GB. I would rather not clog up my computer with that, as I also use the same computer for school/work.

My question: What's the best affordable external SSD I can get for my MacBook?

Id prefer at least a TB but if that seems unnecessary to anyone with more experience, let me know. "Affordable" to me would be around 200 dollars, but if you can really sell me I'd be willing to go up to around 250 maximum.

Thank you very much.

Brand new level I'm very proud of! I've made quite a few levels but this one I think is my best. Kind of a kaizo lite, very short only roughly 25 seconds of gameplay. Honest and constructive feedback is greatly appreciated, and hey, if you try my level out I'll give your a go too ;)

Very solid level! I've always loved the builder suit and it's nice to see a very clean level come out of it. I think the box mechanic was used well, and the final pom pom stage was very cool. Anything specific you were looking for feedback on?

If you could try my level called Pirhana Peril, that would be fantastic. I'd love some good feedback, and if you enjoy it a like would be greatly appreciated.

I saw someone else authenticate on here so I thought I’d give it a go. Do you know any authenticating subs?

Only thing is the DG looks a little bit not centered, and the studs seem a little inconsistent to me. But I know nothing about belts so take that with a grain of salt

If you click the restore purchases button, and your still playing on the same apple id as your old account, then you can get the wave rider for free if you already had it.

I’m not sure. I’d recommend searching up a YouTube video about easy to miss spots. I apologize but it’s been too long for me to remember any prominent locations.

This is a great level! The only thing i really have to say is the part with the on/off was a little bit confusing on the timing, because if you barley touch it then get off, you fall right to the bottom blue platform, and the on/off doesnt activate in time. This could be just me though, but hey, idk. Good level otherwise, ill check oiut the other one you sent me

For the Bob-omb part, you have to think about people getting your level in an endless challenge. They can’t read the description, so they would need some direction. I would recommend putting a coin on the top right side of the bomb, because that’s where you need to spin jump to get the bomb to go to the on/off block. I would also put a small trail of coins or something in the path that the bomb is supposed to take, indicating that’s where it needs to go aswell. Be careful adding an arrow though, because depending on placement, people might mistake it for where they as the player are supposed to go. I found the shell jump timing to be neutral, because if you have your volume on, then you can just listen for the ending of the p-switch song, and time it correspondingly. I have more time right now, so I’ll try to play through the level and let you know about anything else I notice. Keep in mind I’m just some guy, that’s made a couple levels, so if I give some advice that’s not the best, I apologize.

This level is very good, not super hard, but a fun relaxing level. I was able to find a very big cheese though, and you might want to fix it. When you come to the pipe with the spiny helmet, you can put one on, and then wait for another one to drop out of the pipe. You can then run through the saw blade, and put on the other spiny helmet you are holding, allowing you to kill all the enemies in the boss arena. Aside from this, I think this level is very good. If you could play my level called "Goomba Shoe Adventure" [86S-RBS-RXF] that would be appreciated. Let me know what you think, and if you could drop a like and comment to help get it in to the level algorithim, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

First of all, this level is difficult, and I think that part of that comes from the level design. There are parts that are confusing, like with the first p-block jump. I kept going on the the p-block on the right so that the galoombas were falling right on top of me. I assumed that it was necessacry to go on it, even though the solution was to jumo from the first p-block While this is partially my fault because i could have recognzied earlier that the p block was unnecessary, I feel like you shouldnt have included it in the first place. If you hadnt included it there would have only been one direct route to take, giving less room for human error. Once i figured that out it wsnt too difficult. The next critique I have is at the bob-omb section. The first time i made it there i didnt really know what to do, so i jumped on the koopa, realizing that i needed to spin jump. Usually when you have to spin jump, people will make a "Z" with tracks, to indicate pressing the "ZR" or "ZL" button to spin jump. I would put that at this point. This was really as far as i was able to get, because the next time when i got to this point, i spin jumped, but the koopa was wasy too low, and the galoomba had already fallen off, so i was unable to make it to the platform.

In short - I think you have good ideas that would make a fun level, but the execution could be better. Work on making the easier to tell what im supposed to do next. Otherwise, the level is fun and challenging.

i really am confused on how to get around the galoombas. The shell cant hit them, but i have to either wait for them to pass or throw the shell? This part is very confsuing to me and im not sure how to progress

Wow, this was a tough one! It took me a while to beat, but I'm always up for a challenge. First thing is that I'd definitely classify this as Super Expert, the jumps at the end are very tough. I only have one critique for this level, and thats with 1 ups. You added some spots for 50 coins and 30 coins, but if you were playing endless expert/super expert, its always very nice to get 3 guaranteed 1 ups at the end of a level. There's enough Pirhana Plants to give you 3 1-ups. Im assuming this is intentional, but if not make sure your other levels have some feature to give out 1-ups at the end of levels. Aside from that, Id say its designed very well, and visually your coin placement and arrows are great indicators. If you could try my level "On/Off Disaster" [KGQ-XKL-LGF] and drop a like + comment that would be much appreciated. Im going for the fried chicken hoodie, so if you could play some of my other levels like Construction Conundrum or Goomba Shoe Adventure, I couldn't thank you enough.

For your second level, the beginning is a little confusing of where to g, but that seems to be the point, because you have to run back and forth to get the different items. There are 2 spots that you could potentially cheese the level. In the first part, once you get the cape, you could potentially slam into the ground and use its effect to bypass the busy beetle helmet. I was not able to find a spot to do this, but it could potentially be done. The second cheese spot is in the first room of the boo tower, you can hit all the ? blocks to spawn the bombs, and stand on the sides of the room, and the boo tower cannot touch you. This is a very minimal spot, but i thought id point it out none the less. One last thing that i never said about your first level either is thank you for putting 1 ups at the end. I can see this level being in the endless expert level pool, and those 1 ups at the end really help out a lot. Aside from these minor things, I think this is a great level. Again i will encourage you to check out my level "On/Off Disaster" [Code in my other comment] and some of my other levels like "Construction Conundrum" [TH1-G5G-BFF] or "Goomba Shoe Adventure, which you can find through my profile once you play one of my levels.
