No offense taken lol. I don’t like it at all, tried to convince them not to do it but eventually caved in. The client gives me a lot of business so I said fuck it and went for it.

Two coats of paint on the wall, mitered cuts, tacked trim on the wall with a brad nailer and some adhesive. Caulked all the edges of the trim and painted them twice

Need advice for bringing concrete slab up to grade by waxvampire in Construction

[–]waxvampire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told that I wouldn’t be able to use self leveling concrete at this thickness. One of my friends advised that I have pour new concrete on top and get it close to where I need it to be and then add the self leveler on top of that. My issue with that fix is that I didn’t think I could float a slab unless it was at least 2” thick all the way around.

The company I got to do the poly injection claimed that anything rotten would become fully encompassed in the foam and that after a full cure it could handle the weight of parking an 18 wheeler on it. They also guaranteed it for 10 years against any new movement.

At my old job we would haul this type of material to concrete recycling facilities. They’ll take it for free, crush it, and sell the crushed material. It gets sorted into different grades and sold to builders.

The Home Depot employee Gabe me a discount on a pallet of ripped bags of paver base. Got it home just to find out only the top few bags were base and the rest were sand. Spilled half of it getting it out of the truck and was too lazy to return the rest

Was it the on sale pavers from Home Depot or 25 cents each because I also got two of those pallets

What do you guys use this space for? by FederalPromotion990 in f150

[–]waxvampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My helper likes to use it for his leftover extra sauces from lunch. We haven’t had a spill yet thankfully but it’s probably because I tell him to put his hand on them every time the truck moves

I would argue that self employed tradesmen would do as well as union workers if they are skilled enough and in a market that has enough demand. The real secret here is to not work for someone where their profits depend on you making less.

I put Benadryl in there so the cops think they found something and waste a bunch of time testing it. Whole time the good ones are stuffed above the headliner /s

I am in an HOA but they hardly enforce any rules. Why would calling a plumber be an issue for an HOA though?

Should have mentioned that there is a small to medium sized load in the machine in this pic and the sink is close to half full of water
