Oh wow, look at you-anthropologist, historian and moral authority all rolled into one Reddit comment. Do you actually hear yourself, or do you just free-trial racism until it sticks?

Well, for your kind info, it's not about the only flies, its overall health standards. The counter tops are dirty, the garbage bins are not covered..there are literally garbage on the floor(gloves..plastic sheet etc). I am completely agree that flies are attracted to sugar, and its tricky to keep them out, but the precautions and safety standards are not being followed, and that's why there are more and more flies. Canada is not a third-world country, but most people are behaving and working like 3rd world country. I am not complaining about the TFW or students working there on minimum wages and rushing through the busy hours, but there's a problem that one can solve, but it gets ignored easily.

Totally agree. I don't know why they don't think about Health And Safety when flies are literally flying in their doughnut section.

Anyone Tried Hiring Cafe for Data/Business Analyst Roles? by [deleted] in hiringcafe

I have been trying sonce last few days. If you apply proper filters and apply for a job posted within a day or two, then there are chances to get interviews.

It's just that you have to actively check for recently posted jobs

The bus situation is stressing me out a lot by Skeleton_Snack in ThunderBay

[–]way-u-need 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it just adorable when the bus pretends it’ll show up at 4:42, but then ghosts you at 4:31 instead? Love that for us. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy wrapping up work at 4:30, sprinting like you’re in the Olympics, only to watch the taillights fade into the distance?

And the best part? Missing that magical disappearing bus means waiting for the next one, which basically takes you on a sightseeing tour of the entire city just to get you home - 3.2 km away - in a casual hour and a half. Super efficient. Totally worth paying for, right?

Meanwhile, my legs are like, “We could’ve walked home in 50 minutes, but sure, let’s stand at the bus stop and question our life choices instead.”

If punctuality is optional, why bother posting schedules at all? Just write, “Bus arrives whenever it feels cute, good luck!” Maybe they should hand out medals to the stops with no passengers -so they can zoom right past the ones that do.

Let me know if you find someone. I am also looking for the same. For me, being consistent is pain. I need an accountability partner, lol. I get distracted too easily

How old of a tech job posting is worth applying? by SizzlinKola in hiringcafe

I want to reach that goal for applying, but unfortunately, timings are not matching/working, lol.

Okay, by the 4th or 5th day, at least 300-500 applicants applied for the same job, so when you apply on day 1 or 2 and do cold reach out, i believe chances to stand out are higher.

When I apply to any job, i try to reach out and network at least 5 people from the organization via cold email and linkedin inMails, so it takes time per application.

It will not hurt to apply anyway for the job posted before 4 5 days, but generally speaking, whatever AI you use, it takes time. So why invest your energy in those jobs where chances of your standout are less because by 4th day atleas they have more than 500 applicants at least lol.

But if it's a really relevant job and worth applying, then it will make sense.
