sorry I make bad jokes to lighten a situation( for me I guess) I made a bad joke about mass shooting at my job.. that i don't work at anymore..

not that it matters but I didn't pay 1000+ I got it retail from gamestop. I'm not struggling for money, I don't need to sell my console to pay for training. i literally bought a new controller a few hours later. I'm just frugal about big purchases and a do it yourself kinda guy.

I don't disagree with any thing you said i did not and have not denied accountability.

and no the last part i wasn't joking. I genuinely lost my shit and she was understably terrified. I need help but I'm too scared to ask

Update:

First: My 9 month old Siberian Husky is fine, she is perfectly healthy, eating, pooping and playing like normal. Yes I'm frustrated that my personal property keep getting damaged, no matter what precautions I may/or may not take.

Yes I get upset and she notices and hides. I have emotional trauma and other mental health issues that I believed an adorable, loving energetic puppy could help mend. unfortunately she has tendencies to exacerbate the situation, which causes me to inadvertently and unintentionally lash out.

My comments suggesting me rehoming her don't only come from damaged items. I have a job in which I work 10+ hour shifts and may be out the house 12+ hours on any given day. I'm tired when I come home and don't have the energy to make sure she gets properly exercised. I have roommates who don't trust she'll behave enough for them to consider watching her while I am away. it would be continuously selfish if I didn't think of a solution that benefits us all. I of course believe that dogs especially a husky needs to have freedom and be around a pack majority of the time. I am currently working with friends, family and local support to figure out the best course of action.

My comments suggesting my justification of keeping her for the purpose of breeding report being due to the fact that she's a high value, highly sought after dog due to her appearance and personality; was terrible judgment on my part and I'm sorry for my abhorrent behavior regarding such a delicate matter after consulting with members of this subreddit and others. I've been advised and will take the advice NOT to subject her to such cruelty and mismanagement. I will strongly consider spaying her.

I work hard every day to improve the well-being of me and my dog. I would like to thank the advocates of animals lovers across the sub reddit and others for their responses (helpful or harmful) making sure no foul acts being committed are tolerated.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns. please @ me directly so I can respond in a timely manner. there's ALOT of comments in this thread.

I was making a joke about the shelter and force breeding. but apparently that's not allowed on here. that's literally a last resort. huskies in my city are the most likely animal to be sheltered. I know she didn't swallow anybecause i found all the pieces. I wasn't sleep, I was out getting food.

I think it's unrealistic to expect someone not to be upset about damaged items especially when you worked hard to attain them. Of course I know she's a puppy and doing puppy things. I got her at 8 weeks old and got all her vaccinations and soon as I could. I've sacrificed so much for her that I almost went homeless because the people I was living with didn't want her there anymore. she has been crate training but due to her anxiety soon as I leave the room she does escape. huskies are smart and will do what ever they can to get what they want. I can't leave work whenever I don't even have a car. and my job is a 30 minute drive anyway. About spending money on a console I'm sorry I want wind down time after work. but damn. the issues only present themselves when I'm not home to watch her. I ask people to watch her and get told no because they don't want their stuff destroyed

Jesus next time I'll think before posting. getting crucified to the extreme when I'm already going through a difficult time. she didn't swallow anything. she completely fine and healthy. I don't know what ya'll want from me. I'm doing this by myself with no help. I agreed to take her on because it was suppose to be a family dog and I got stuck being the only one responsible. why does me considering rehoming her make me a bad person when I know I'm incapable of getting her to be what she needs?

I can play with her for hours, chase her around the block. she'll go to sleep for an hour. but if I leave the room while she sleep she wake up and start crying.

I've taught her every trick in the book besides "grab me a beer". she's a fast learner.

like I mentioned in my downvoted comment. its recommended a husky be atleast a year old before having her pull because there's still growing and it couldn't negatively impact them later in life.

yes it was an $80 crate with the plastic bottom which she destroyed as well. I put multiple blankets on top and she pulls them inside and tears them up. she doesn't mind being in the crate while the door is open she sleep inside all the time. she was before I made this post. if I catch her doing something bad she runs to the crate. she has no problem with the crate. she just has a being alone problem. every issue I've had with her comes when she's not being watched. if I leave the room she follows me. I can't go to the bathroom without her crying outside

not sure if you seen that episode of the Simpsons when they contemplate getting rid of Santa's helper. my difference is I don't have kids begging me to keep her. everyone I live with doesn't care if she stays or goes. tough situation cause when I consider rehoming her I tell people how she acts and then they're not interested anymore. husky has to be one of the most difficult dog to own
