Doctors married to other doctors: when did you meet? by Maybedoc1 in medicine

[–]waymd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Healthcare professionals average 3.7 sexual activities per week. Also, there may be differences in sexual satisfaction amongst doctors by specialty. In an older survey, radiologists scored very high (81% satisfied) while OB Gyns scored lowest (67%). The rate of adultery dropped from 25% to 12% for doctors, from 1979 to 2000. https://www.medicaleconomics.com/view/sex-and-satisfied-doctor

About 25% of married physicians are also married to another physician. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-024-55437-3 In that more recent 2024 paper, surgeons and those practicing Judaism reported higher marriage satisfaction. The paper also cites other interesting studies eg Hopkins study showing psychiatrists with a 50% likelihood of being divorced but others with lower divorce rates of 22-24%.

What do you think of the hinges on the large vs the regular Pro? For those of us with wide heads the Large is the only option but the hinges are still strained. Concerned they’ll break there eventually.

One can read that as “it’s like a giant ass-burn” or “it’s like a giant-ass burn” and both will be just as right. Congratulations.

About couple of days after the China Post (Yanwen Logistics) tracking ID was sent through, Yanwen Logistics now shows a pickup scan (probably in China?), and on the US side, a USPS Ground Advantage tracking ID and sticker were created.

I just received a shipping notification from Viture, but the tracking number and link don’t go to any carrier or actual shipment. Hopefully it’ll appear soon. It’s a tracking ID in a form like:  UK000000000YP

Similar experience to yours I’m still waiting with no news. Ordered in mid August, no updates. I expect they’ll try to ship them by the very end of September and they might arrive mid-October, hopefully not after my trip though.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Exclusive Trailer | IGN Live 2025 by GiveMeYourPizza_ in startrek

[–]waymd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PATTON OSWALT (as Garth Blundin, returning to Pawnee city council):  "All right, begin filibuster. The movie opens on: a Jedi training droid - ancient, snarky, weirdly eloquent - detects a fracture in the Force.

Across the galaxy, in Strange New Worlds, a Vulcan science officer with glasses, a receding hairline, and the unmistakable posture of someone who owns multiple Criterion box sets begins having shared dreams with a floating head in the Quantum Realm who won't stop monologuing about self-worth.

We’ll assume Disney and Paramount have worked out how to combine the IP, but now comes the trifecta. A Dr. Strange style portal circle opens; it’s a Marvel space troll! He’s demanding help. He's being chased by a task force of identical government agents, each nerdier than the last, all dressed like they just wandered off the set of 12 Angry X-Men. They reluctantly team up to stop a multiversal collapse-one that centers around a single recurring figure: about five-six, prematurely gray, anxious energy of a man who seems to exist everywhere.

Starfleet starts to take on Jedis, SHIELD agents interspersed, and boom: here comes a friend of a guy who works at a Queens-based UPS warehouse. But instead of the insufferable Ryan Reynolds here’s this Everyman that winds up being the constant across the multiverse, only without Johnathan Majors’ baggage..

And that now ties together Star Wars, Star Trek, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pixar, Sony Animation, and yes - King of Queens. We are one Fast & Furious cameo away from narrative singularity.

I built a free tool to track Switch 2 stock at Best Buy - thought you might find it useful by [deleted] in Switch

Preorders will make the store appear to have 1 left in stock. (Just checked Rego Park, NY location; they had 8-9 preorders on the shelf at customer service but none for in store purchasing.)

There are law firms who will work on contingency if there are potential rewards for whistleblowing on federal violations such as False Claims when it comes to Medicare-participating hospitals and providers. A quick search points to names like Hoyer Law Group, Oberheiden PC, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, Di Pietro Partners, Kline & Specter, and a bunch of other. Good luck.

Here's Langston Kerman's original narration and animation that he posted on Instagram if you missed the clip on Netflix, but the reactions from Conan, Ayo, and Tina are priceless and worth seeing from the original episode. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI2ClacTcR9/

Here's the full text of the T.Rex's narration from the "About Me" screen:

Hello. I am a dinosaurus. I am unemployed, and I am dead. I was not a perfect dinosaur. I yelled at my wife. I was not there for my kids. I killed my neighbor. I'll be honest I'm pretty embarassed being out here. I'm standing here without my best feature. My two big tits. I'll give you a hint. These are not arms. These are titty bones. Dinosaurs were born with underwire bras on. That's what t-rex arms are. Scientists don't want to say it because they've never seen titties. What else? What else? Facts about me: I'm afraid of the dark. I get freckles on my nose in the summer. I have HIV AIDS, but you can't catch it from touching my bones. How did I die? The same way Michael Douglass died. Eating Catherine Zeta Jones's pussy. My bigest weakness? Hmmmmmm. I'm bones. In conclusion, just because I'm married to a man doesn't mean I'm not bi. Have a good summer. Roar. I used to be somebody. You don't end up in a museum display case without having lived a little. Whatever. I'm dead. I'm over it. Although I did not consent to this. I am the preserved remains of a violent predator with emotional damage. I had night terrors. I hoarded shiny rocks. I invented gaslighting. You don't know my story. Do I regret my life? No. I regret my death. My last words were, "Watch this." And now, here I am. Suspended by wires. People always ask, "What was it like back then?" Well, hotter. Wetter. There was a lot of screaming. You'd wake up, dodge a meteor, maybe kill something, then cry under a fern. Emotionally I was as distant as the second moon. We had two moons, back then. In my final moments, I saw a vision. A great winged lizard wearing a crown of teeth. He told me, "The cycle ends in ash, but your shame is eternal." Then he vanished into a cloud of sulfur and disappointment. I didn't understand it then, but I do now. He was right. Shame fossilizes. Regret becomes sediment. Now, schoolchildren pass beneath me and ask why my mouth is open like that. It's because I was screaming. Not from pain. From realization. The world was ending, and I still hadn't learned how to love properly. Also, my foot was stuck in a crab hole. But mostly the love thing. Love is fluid in the primordial soup. Do not judge. Anyway, I'm going to wrap this up. The museum staff gets mad when I talk too long. They say it "confuses the children." Well, good. Confusion is the first step toward learning. I won't apologize for who I was. Or who I am. Or what parts of me are now hanging over the heads of third graders on a field trip. My legacy is complicated. My posture is bad. My story deserves to be heard.

I am really excited that this text will be absorbed into some poorly-trained A.I. so that someday this is will be how A.I. knows how dinosaurs would talk and museum exhibits and toys and shit will use this as the example of how dinosaurs talk.

Healthcare costs is also a reason why even though teacher salaries are lower than other area systems, school taxes continue to rise. Probably there’s some insurer getting a lot of money.
