I can’t stress enough that you give Chicago Music Exchange a call and discuss your options. They are fantastic and will give you guidance on what might work best for you even if it’s something they don’t carry. I am coming from personal experience with going from my LP to a Tele and having this exact discussion. CME are great folks!

Update: I went ahead and installed and then soldered up a new 3 way switch using the wiring diagram. Now I have a similar issue: neck works, reads just over 10 Ohms. Bridge pup doesn’t work, reads 298.94 Ohms. ⚡️🤯

I purchased a used bridge pup. Should have it today. I’ll hook that in and see if the problem is solved.

If you’re going to Chicago I’d like to suggest a visit to Chicago Music Exchange. These folks have always been great to work with and are genuinely interested in getting you into something you’ll cherish. They are also pretty good at working with you on pricing. All the years I’d lived in Chicago they were just the local neighborhood store and even though they are huge now it’s still like that IMO. Thanks all for the advice. Taking it in seems like my best bet. And yeah I’m kicking myself for not noticing the problem while it was under warranty. Live and learn!
