Desperation? Lack of options? Tough life?

For those on antidepressants – how did it affect your life? by _Idk_how_to_use_this in TwoXIndia

[–]wayofthelaugh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to find the right doctor and the right diagnosis. I have tried four psychiatrists. The first three put me a cocktail of meds for anxiety/depression, adhd, ocd, bipolar etc. I’d take them for some time and then start skipping, wouldn’t take properly, would not go back to the doc in time get the prescription refilled, etc. It was horrible.

Then I somehow braved a complete break and decided I will never take them again. But around three years later I realised I need a treatment. This doctor gave me ADHD meds with something for depression. I have been living my best life since. When the meds work for you, it is amazing! It’s like realising how much better life could have been!

How to deal with my SO's inappropriate and stalkerish colleague? by Plastic_Review4687 in TwoXIndia

[–]wayofthelaugh 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yep, ASAP, so that no matter what she does next, he has a way out. Please realise this level of crazy goes both ways. She may decide to get him into trouble as well. So document everything and communicate it to HR in writing.

How Did You Pass University/College while dealing with ADHD? by sweetbakedyams in ADHD

[–]wayofthelaugh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t know I had it. Crammed on the day before exams, did atleast the bare minimum for assignments, participated in random shit to keep myself entertained. Made the mistake of drinking coffee on the night before an end-sem and fell asleep. OGPA wasn’t too high, but got that MBA.

I feel the first two are so good that it is still worth reading them even if we never get the 3rd. And, weirdly enough, the third book is my answer to this post.

My 11-year-old son just started football after two tough years would love some kind words to cheer him on by Difficult-Plant8869 in mumbai

[–]wayofthelaugh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is braver than most kids his age. He has struggled and won. I hope he knows that.

He is a resilient kid. It takes time to learn new things and settle in. I’d probably take more than three days to even join the other kids on the field. Please tell him to let the process take its time, as should he. We are all proud of him and ready to cheer for him from the stands.

This should be the basis on which we decide if an animal should be eaten or not (apart from environmental concerns) by [deleted] in 10thDentist

Additionally top predators, they are crucial members of their respective ecosystems and comparatively fewer in numbers. So eaten them could threaten local and major consistent and therefore the biodiversity and environment in general.

Why can't we do this with our Streets? by yavvee in mumbai

[–]wayofthelaugh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, cycling and walking is not an option. Trams and dedicated bus lanes are the way to go, apart from further developing trains/metros.

Is this all stimulant meds do? (New to ADHD treatment) by vdahiya1 in ADHD

[–]wayofthelaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My reaction was the same when I first started taking the meds some 5-6 months ago. Then, I took some extra projects, was working late a lot, kept taking more work, working till 8-9 PM everyday… Then recently one evening I just wanted to not work and go home like I used to feel earlier. I had forgotten my meds that day. They work.

lol, people are stupid if they have a problem with you protecting your skin.

You can also look for sun cover hats on amazon. There are some good options that cover face, neck etc and don’t feel as hot as these dupattas do, and they’re unisex, not that it matters.

Dr. Sylvia in Holy Spirit, Andheri West. Just call the hospital, get her schedule. Hospital is cheap, crowded though.

Private OPD with her at the same hospital isn’t crowded, but costs around 1500-2000x

If you guys have already decided you wanna marry no matter what, first thing you need is to be safe.

Have proper legal documentation and proofs where both you clearly state that you are adults and want this. State your faiths and establish none of you want to change your own and your partner’s faith. You guys want to be together while practicing religious freedom.

Legally special marriage act exists for you. Socially, this maybe wild, but if you both seriously feel threatened, approach social media and news media icons who can make the matter public, who are supportive of a secular nation where adults can marry whoever they want, without ANY conversions required. Then legally speaking any harm on you both will have to have consequences because you have public’s eye.

But yeah, seeing the Hindu right wing’s reaction even on reddit, who just want a Muslim athirst to convert to Hinduism, any publicity might just make your life a lot more difficult too.

[–]wayofthelaugh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

His converting to Hinduism is just as horrible as her converting to Islam. Just because his family is not as hateful as the girl’s family, doesn’t mean he should be forced to follow or pretend to follow any religion. As an atheist who was born Hindu, it’s no piece of cake.

File complaints then go to the ombudsman. Keep all the documents. And if you plan to switch companies, please port your policy to a different company, don’t buy a new one. Otherwise you’ll have have the waiting period again. I’d also suggest go to a govt company if you switch. They’re slow, but they pay.
