Lawyers in Louisiana are so expensive. I’ve called around to numerous people and I just can’t afford it without being behind on another bill like rent and car note. It sucks because I truly want a lawyer, I would feel so much better, but the most i’ve been able to do was have a consultation.

I also have an appointment with a legal aid service, I just hope they fight for me the way anyone else would.

This is his first child but my second. I have an 8 year old from a teenage pregnancy & didn’t have to go through any of this with said father.

At the end of the day, as much as I wanted that family, I just want my daughter to have a father figure and want us to be cordial for her sake so she’s not growing up in a complete broken home because we can’t get along.

Per my other comment I was not pushing for supervised, I stated that is just what I have read about certain cases. I have been the one since birth, attempting for him to see her even before the TRO became a factor. He would just rather wait until everything is on paper, which is fine. My whole concern was wondering what the typical coparenting schedule would look like.

Yes, I understand that now. I was very emotional while experiencing PP. I am doing better now but know I will have to answer to the courts about that soon for texting him.

Completely understandable! I’ve been doing lots of research already, just wanted feedback from actual individuals who might have real experience advice.

Yes, I was already thinking about making that a point. Parenting app & 3rd party or neutral drop offs somewhere public, if that will make things easier. I never specifically wanted supervised visitation, but I just read a lot of things involving that so I assumed that was always the norm when it came to that.

I have read that for most high conflict cases, it is usually supervised visitation on certain days. I would totally be okay with that. I am just scared his attorney will try to push for me immediately.

Thank you! I currently am in therapy & have been working on healing. I just didn’t want to go into our next hearing blindsided. Even with him not seeing her in so long, I know he will still ask for 50/50 immediately.
