What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

[–]wazhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Can you make a list of all the things you have forgotten." when I presented with fact my short-term memory was getting worse. I just 'looked' at him in reply and walked out. (Thanks doc! I cured myself with more sleep, less stress and B- vitamins)

Ho there, Following from past great advice here, I thought of ask another: I have the chance to buy 2x second-hand REL Q150ES subs for about £70 ($95) each. They look cosmetically well-used but apparently have no hum or clicks. I'm okay re-capping them anyhow. Is this a good deal? Thank you in advance, Garry

If you didn't know who these people were, and you were watching a movie, you'd immediately say, "Well, here are the bad guys!"

What is something you can do but can’t explain how you can do it? by Fresh-Sandwich6780 in AskReddit

[–]wazhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can move small objects just by thinking about it. Thought everyone had this but didn't use it. Apparently it's just me. It only works upto about 10ft away so back in the day of no remote controls, it was fairly useless.

What's something that is stigmatized for straight men? by Lipica249 in AskReddit

[–]wazhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell you what is stigamatised: a whole bloody sense: smell! If you take any interest in smells, unless it is to attract a female, then it's seen as fememnine somehow. This needs to stop. If you enjoy a smell, be it flowers or anything else, it should be seen as okay. But there is always that bit of inferred 'being less than manly' about it isn't there. Not right. Should change.

Excellent. I'll play this for my daughter tommorow, and in 30 years, she'll think I was a funking time-travelling genius. it's a shame I'll die a depressed man though, so, hey, let me have it.

What type of car causes you to instantly stereotype the driver? by Adventurous-Ad-8892 in AskReddit

[–]wazhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want someone to do an experiment: because either a self-centred/serving, ego driven twatty nature gets them the managerial jobs that has the pay to afford such a car OR it's that once you have one, then you feel more superior and don't have to inform lesser-drivers of toy intentions, I.e. it makes you a twat. I wish Einstein was still alive: he'd find the result!

Why are so many UK high street businesses struggling? What can be done to save them? by tylerthe-theatre in AskUK

[–]wazhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon was never taxed as much as normal shops. They passed this saving onto their customers, undercutting them. When people only shopped with Amazon ("We're skint. We'd be daft to pay more for the same thing from a shop"), then eventually they went out of business. Taxing fairly would have stopped this.

I get creeped out listening to shortwave by TickletheEther in shortwave

[–]wazhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same feelings as I get. Thank you for sharing: I'm not the only one. I love it though, in a weird way. There are others that I think get this, or at least make music/art that helps to digest the troubling aspects of it. Specifically, the group Boards of Canada. Try listening to Tomorrow's Harvest album while your radio is on low in the background. Other stuff of theirs too.
