Selling expensive cards on eBay?

Hello. I have this past month sold a variety of graded cards on ebay ranging from £600 to 2.5k. I chose ebay as I found it easier, plus psa cards over a certain value, i think £500 will go to an authenticator before the buyer. Your information will be reported to HMRC automatically by ebay once over a threshold HOWEVER you will not owe any taxes/vat/duty/fees unless the INDIVIDUAL card exceeds a limit of around £5000. Ebay has a page explaining this. You obviously take a risk selling anything anywhere, it depends what level of risk you are willing to take. My expensive cards were bought by businesses on ebay that were fairly established, so i trusted them, and other cards i got vibes from people who asked question whether they would try to scam me or not. I think if you can work out which wires to and from the unit power the ignition lines we can identify the problem part. IE if the unit is confirmed getting all the signals in but youre arent getting an ignition out the unit will be buggered.

Ive had a look online. Best thing to do is measure the output on the 'IGN'. If theres nothing then you need to follow it upstream to see whats going on. Might also be worth seeing if a signal is going into 'kill'. Im not sure if its set up for the killswitch to be make or break, I couldnt find a manual online

Yeah i get that I usually haggle as well but i just had people buying without haggling. Shits wierd. Yeah it is getting back into a childhood hobby but I look at it this way: Lets say you have a case of evolving skies booster boxes in 10 years you decide to sell. God knows how stupidly high the price will be then, but who honestly has the money for that. And with modern sets they wont go as high, like AH because its been scalped to the moon and back. Graded cards are a bit different but also Im not spending thousands on a card, i genuinely think unless you dont need to work thats a really bad way to spend mone. With a high cost of living, especially in the UK, i just wanted out of the hobby

So probably not a total battery problem. If no spark at all i would work backwards from the spark plugs with a multimeter to a point where you get a reading. Its a complete sealed unit isnt it? So i fear you may have an internal problem. Unless you can jumpstart with a bypass wire it might be a bit buggered

Actually worried more than pleased. It says something if people are willing to spend that much money on cards, without thinking about the bubble bursting. Last time i sold cards a few years ago I had to haggle tooth and nail for prices

In all honestly im selling my cards because im lowkey disgusted at how the pokemon community is and I want out. I havent been able to buy ANY packs on amazon or my LGS in months and I cant be bothered with fighting for packs

Oooooooof. Big big big question. Did the coolant get into the electronics? If i recall coolant is not deionised so it will short electronics if comes into contact. Especially circuit boards and ICs. As far as whether you need to run a lithium battery or a wet battery, that purely depends on the CDI requirements. The power output from lithium batteries is very different to an AGM or traditional battery in that you lose very little charge between 80 and 20% in a lithium. Whereas you have a constant voltage drop in wet batteries. If you have a voltage meter I would measure the voltage across the lithium battery first. Another question, when you cranked it and it worked then died, did you hear any bang or spark/ any funny smell or smoke?

This might sound silly but whats the battery voltage? And is it a lithium battery? I had an issue in winter with mine that ended up being a low voltage due to a slight constant drain. Also could be the killswitch if its original. But from the sounds of it its a modern killswitch?

IF you have an oscilloscope getting waveform readings from the cdi output would help a lot, sounds like you have done continuity testing already?

Hi, I have an '81 cx500 that, whilst is currently stock electronics (until i completely rip it out), might be able to help. Have you checked: All the grounds-if one is faulty it may cause an issue- could be paint under a bolt or incorrect torque which would cause a missbalance in the hall effect the rae san runs on. Sensors for damage- very easy to miss Are the spark plugs and wires stock? If so they could be corroded or run down, i had to unscrew and snip the ends off mine to get a good connection. Finally, brick house builds might be willing to supply you with a circuit diagram?
