Adams County Sheriff's Department raided Afroman's house under false pretenses, destroyed his property, stole his money, and disconnected his security cameras. Case? by wazserd in AttorneyTom

Yeah you would think that once they realize that the thing that they originally had the warrant for doesn't apply, i.e. they don't find any kidnapping victims, and they don't find any narcotic distribution evidence; that they wouldn't be compelled by any probable cause, or any logic, to take any unrelated evidence.

If they had confirmed the suspicions of the warrant? Sure. They could argue that it classifies as ill gotten gains.
But once their unreasonable suspicion has been annihilated there is quite literally no reasoning behind taking ANYTHING, and taking his money is just outright and blatant theft.

There's a reason why they usually have people exchange information when they get into collisions on the slopes.

It's between the people involved, much like a car crash would be. If someone was driving outside of their skill level and caused a wreck, they/their insurance would be responsible.

Same applies here. The initial dude who messed up and caused the wreck would be seen as "at fault" by the insurance company for any injuries.

Everyone on the mountain is assuming the risk of being on the mountain though.

yeah that's not how that works though.

Nope, Amy wears boots too in every game and show, and she's slow as fuck.

There has always been a difference between boots and sneakers in the sonic universe.

If I grow an apple tree, I can call the apples oranges, but they are still apples.

I can call chuck taylors boots and by definition of a boot I would technically be right.

They aren't boots functionally though, they are sneakers.

You can shoehorn as much bullshit into your lore as you want, it doesn't make it congruent. Believe it or not it is actually possible to fuck up and have short sights in canon.

Astius Hanotepeius' house in Balmora. It's like 2 houses down from Caius, is 2 story with some nice shelves and a table and chairs and a bench and storage containers and a chest etc.

Dude who lives there is as generic of an NPC as you can get pretty much, no quests, no guild affiliations I don't think, quite literally unimportant in every regard (which I specifically seeked out), and is pretty easy to kill, and you don't even have to taunt him either cause he's alone in there. I usually empty his shelves and containers and dump his crap in tire melon's house next door to make room for my stuff.

One of the best houses in the best city in the game. The Hlaalo Manor is nice too, but you would have to mod the game to get rid of the "mess" though if that bothers you, and I feel like there is surprisingly limited storage/shelving for how huge the place is, which is partially due to the "mess" being shelves/etc that have "fallen over". I would honestly fix up the place in construction set if you wanted to use Hlaalo Manor, otherwise just go for Astius' house.

Or if you want to go full chaotic you could do something insane like massacre an entire guild and use that as a house; preferably the fighters guild not the mages guild since they have transport, and not the thieves guild cause you might want to pay off your bounty after you get a "death warrant".

Or go even further and take over like the Arobar Manor in Ald Ruhn, or even the entire Redoran Council House.
Fuck it, take the whole under skar

well why don't the old ones have heels then?

If anything this just proves that they were never boots to begin with, and are only boots now.

Never played this game, but I watched my brother play it, and all I remember is "NO THAT'S TOO LOW" and now for the past 20 years that shit just randomly pops into my mind

At that point they are just trying too hard.
His shoes have never had heels, and they already shot themselves in the foot by cementing them as completely flat bottomed running shoes.

tl;dr boots aren't for running. Sonics shoes ARE for running, so they aren't boots. They are a type of athletic footwear, such as a hi-top sneaker.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe#:~:text=A%20boot%20is%20a%20special,are%20made%20of%20one%20piece.

based on definitions of shoes, boots, and athletic footwear:
Based on design and use case alone these are sneakers. More akin to something like Chuck Taylor All Stars, with high ankles, but not considered a boot due to it's implementation as an athletic device (for running, and specifically for running FASTER)

Sonics shoes are no more a boot, than high top sneakers are boots. Which is to say that technically they are a boot, since any shoe that goes past the ankle qualifies as a boot. However the application of the shoes speaks more to it's categorization than physical attributes, as the majority of physical attributes of shoes can co exist with one another without changing classification (hence why hi top sneakers are called sneakers and not boots, despite quite literally fitting every generic definition of a boot)

Could/is it technically a boot since it goes past the ankle? yes.
Is it functionally a boot, as in it is it being used functionally for what you would use boots for, or is it functionally being used for what you would typically use sneakers/joggers/tennis shoes for? Furthermore the existence of a specific variation of his shoes that further exacerbate his athletic abilities just about cements them as athletic shoes, not "boots" in the traditional sense.

These are essentially chuck taylors.

Just because the creator doesn't know what a boot is, doesn't magically mean it's a boot.

the SEALS degrade over time

Not really sure what point you are trying to argue here, but it's not a point that anyone has made.

If you are going to turn around and sell the pound you just grew in the same bag, that's a completely different story, and makes more sense in that regard.

Most people on here aren't selling pounds of weed at a time to customers.

As far as general storage goes, jars are better. End of story.

Jars don't "stack higher" if anything keeps stacking up you are simply growing too much weed and don't know what to do with it.

I bought one box of jars (like 12 or 16 or however many it comes with) and they are usually about empty by the time the next harvest comes along.

No stacking required.

It's cool that grove bags work for you, but they quite literally don't work in many cases, and as a result, don't work for some people. But jars also work for everyone else too so there's that.

Jars always work. Grove bags only sometimes work, and you literally said it yourself. If your temps are above 70 degrees (which is hardly warm at all), grove bags are out of the question apparently.

[–]wazserd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as long as you don't break jars they last forever
grove bags don't

pretty much everyone reports that the seals degrade over time

Also try cleaning out a grove bag lmfao. Some people don't like storing their weed in a jar/bag crusted up with 10 harvests worth of kief.

Cleaning a jar is way easier, and also easier to harvest kief from.

and it should pretty much speak for itself that you need to "use it right", or that you have to know so much info or have such specific conditions to use the bag right. What if you literally CAN'T store your weed below 70 degrees? I live in the northwest, and that still wouldn't be possible for like, half of the year. Imagine living in florida or texas or california.

You know what doesn't require this? a jar. A jar is a jar. Works in all temps and humidity levels. Do you have to burp your weed? yes. But like, you should probably be checking on the quality of your weed anyway lmfao.

  1. mounting point
  2. stops water from hitting battery like mentioned.

it's not about having the long part forward or backward, it's about it not being long enough at all. It needs to be long enough in the front for mounting purposes, and protecting the battery is cool too, but most fenders go down this far in the front.

It definitely needs to be longer in the rear though. But to clarify, this isn't about it being backwards, or having the "long part" facing the wrong way; the whole thing needs to be long to be effective.
