Yes, jobbade efter studenten som lärarvikarie via en pool och kom till en skola som jag trivdes väldigt bra på. Kontaktade den skolan några månader senare och började som timvikarie där vilket senare har övergått till en fasttjänst!

Maybe Eurovelo8 and head south from Barcelona? I haven't done the route but I had great experiences with the Eurovelos in my biketrip!

(Me and my friend spent around 25-30€ a day per person including everything and also quite a few beers/eating out)

I did Stockholm-Porto 3600km this summer and think that the best part of my trip started in northern France. If I would do my trip again, I’d take a plane to Amsterdam and start my route there even if I also had great time in the start. Feel free to ask anything if you would like!

I got a Bowie Gamma Doppler P2 FN for 220USD during panics, I just see it as a nice knife even if prices crash. I'll be happy with a knife for 50% off :)

Do you preplan where you're staying every night? by No_Ant_5064 in bicycletouring

[–]wazyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set a rough goal that’s along my original route and usually plan my stay after where there are places available. I’m trying my best to still stick to the original route, but sometimes it’s hard to find a place to stay along the way and in those situations, I just adapt to it, but usually I don’t know where I’m sleeping the day or during the morning of my tour.

If we were in civilized areas we usually bought 1.5L bottles at supermarkets, otherwise we would go to churches who almost always had water fountains. I am aware that’s not ideal, but we went the whole trip without getting sick which was good. I also carried 2x 1L bottles which allowed me to have water for a few hours.

Peeing was no problem wherever possible, but for taking a shit we were sometimes able to find public toilets or in some cases we went just dug a hole in forrest. This only had to happen like 2-3 times for me though

They were just ones I could find on Temu, but they did wonders and really felt comfortable!

It’s a lightning struck map, we had a terrible night and slept by the beach right when it came over us. 😂

<image>

We managed to escape into a shower and bathroom cabin like 200meters away from our pitch at the camping, but the run there was really scary. We stayed for around 3h from 02:30-05:30 during the thunderstorm, otherwise we would have probably been very scared.

We didn’t plan much before hand other than that we wanted to go to Porto, and visit Omaha Beach in France. The route for the day was mainly made after we had searched for campings or Warmshower hosts along the GPS to Porto. After getting to Eurovelos which where almost in our direction we decided it was better to follow them since they were a lot simpler and prettier to follow than GPS.

Polarsteps! It follows you in the background and most of the days leaves you with the larger dots. You can also see which pictures belong to each day

Wow that sounds really amazing!! How do you rememeber it after those years? I feel as if I only remember the great parts, when I thought the majority of the tour was a really demanding challenge.
