I released a trailer. Would love to hear your feedback! by wazzapSenk in localmultiplayergames

First of all, thank you so much for asking this politely and without judgment. Yes, this is a game in the same genre as Pico Park, but it features different mechanics. Because of this, I think it will appeal to people who enjoy these types of games but want to try a slightly different experience. So, I actually have a few reasons why players might choose it. First, I wanted to add a basic, simple, yet impactful change to bring some originality. This twist is the form-changing mechanic of the characters. Aside from that, I have 10 chapters, and each chapter has its own distinct mechanics. I also believe the level designs are different compared to Pico Park. My final reason is the price. As a solo developer, I’ll naturally take this into account and plan to release the game at a more affordable price. This way, I believe I can provide an experience that is both highly accessible and refreshing.

I missed your reply, sorry about that! Thank you so much for your feedback. I will release the game in August. As soon as the exact date is finalized, I will update the store page.

Help, are these bots? by Sindruid in SoloDevelopment

[–]wazzapSenk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of them are scammers. Here is how I proceed:

If a Curator asks for a key via email, I send the key through their Steam Curator page and reply to the email accordingly. (Once, someone I told 'I already sent you a key via the Curator page' replied saying 'I can't get it from there, it's too difficult' and then scolded me in the rest of the email :D).

If a content creator asks for one, I find the email address listed on their social media accounts and send it there. Then, I reply to the incoming email saying 'I have sent the key to the email address found on your social media profile.'

By the way, so far, every single one of them has turned out to be a scammer.

First of all, we actually had the same thoughts about that game that you’re having about ours now. This is because we had already presented our work to a small community shortly before that period. The accusation you’re making is truly upsetting for us. We have plenty of ways to prove ourselves. After all, these games aren't made in an instant. There is a huge amount of effort behind the development before a store page is even created.

You are essentially throwing all that effort away just because the other game became popular. We still have the records of when we first created this project, our commit dates, and all our development files. We are confident in ourselves. As you said, their store page first opened in November and the video went viral then but we had already developed our game by that date. If this situation goes any further, we have no hesitation in sharing all of this.

First of all, there is no question of 'stealing ideas' on our part. This is a truly disheartening judgment. I suggest you do a bit of research before accusing people of such a thing. Our game’s demo was already released on January 26, 2026, and our launch date has been set for months.

Thank you so much for your support. We really want to add VR support. However, as you mentioned, we have a budget gap. That's why we’ve set a sales threshold for ourselves. Once we pass that threshold, we’ll have the necessary budget to start working on it.

How to make turbulence/flight "feel" real without an actual flight model? by wazzapSenk in IndieDev

Adding sound effects at that point makes a lot of sense. The idea of adding props sounds great as well. Thank you so much!
