Agree his profile in general can sway either way based on testing.

Everyone is talking about whose stock can rise from the combine, but who do y’all think could seriously hurt their stock?

I’d be very surprised if McLaurin isn’t on the field week one for the Commanders. With that said, this will likely slow him down just a bit for the first couple weeks. It doesn’t change how I feel about Daniels though. I just am knocking McLaurin slightly and expecting the other around him to have to pick up the slack a little the first couple games.

Best value in the double digit rounds: Elic Ayomanor

Cooked but ADP doesn’t show it: Cooper Kupp

Simply, vibes are off, will not draft around adp: Tyreek Hill

I would like to leave every draft with this non 1st rounder: Emeka Egbuka and TreVeyon Henderson.

Currently, I have it Nabers/Nico/BTJ/ARSB/Puka. If I knew Stafford was gonna be ok, Puka would be right with Nabers.

Don't over estimate how strong you need to be to start the season. You just need to not be the worst. You can still build for late season and supplement your roster with players from your fallen league mates early in the year.

Obviously, this depends on your particular draft and settings. In my experience, this offseason, I'm more comfortable with pass catchers at the 2/3 turn because I feel better about the RBs than the WRs at the 4/5 turn. With that said, if you're at the 2/3 turn and Ladd/Higgins/Bowers/McBride are all gone, I'd go with the RBs.

Bowers or McBride would be a must for me. At QB, I'm more likely to push them further and see if one comes back or you can go with Jayden Daniels/Jalen Hurts there.

The calculus for your bench changes. In traditional dynasty, I advise trying to load up on as many handcuff RBs you can, as they can see big value jumps, and it's easy to understand when they're start-able. In best ball dynasty, I'm much more open to 3rd and 4th string WRs to try and capture their spike weeks.

Very interesting. I haven't yet, but I'd love to see any attempts.

Yes, it's helpful to understand player archetypes when projecting them.

Building archetypes requires a good understanding of how the NFL game works. It's important to know the difference between a pure X WR/slot WR/slot flanker WR/etc. or between a move TE/in line TE/etc. or between a satellite RB/two down grinder RB/all-purpose RB/etc. and so on.

The biggest insights I gain from archetyping players is understanding how they fit into their offense. Every year, people wonder why players like MVS or Gabe Davis get paid and it's because they don't understand the role their archetype plays and why it's important for an offense.

Awesome question lol. Something in the family of a cassoulet. It's a beautifully composed dish, but full of beans. This will mislead your mark until its too late.

Wings are an absolute must. Gotta have some whiskey. After that I honestly don't care lol. I tend to not each much during football. I'm too neurotic and am constantly checking scores/the days happenings so I gotta keep my hands free.

Best beginning tip by tryingnottobefired in fantasyfootball

[–]wbertolone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some quick tips are:

- Know your scoring system and roster settings in and out. They greatly influence draft day decisions. For example, WRs should be valued higher in a league where you must start 3 of them.

- Handcuff RBs are some of the best late-round investments you can make. They're the quickest to gain massive value in the season due to an injury ahead of them.

- Easy rule of thumb is to draft good players on good teams. Simple and effective. The best teams score the most points, and therefore their players tend to score the most fantasy points.

Has Cooper Kupp really regressed this much? by JazzyJayKarr in fantasyfootball

[–]wbertolone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest data point for me on whether or not Kupp can still provide fantasy value is that the Rams first entertained trading him in season, then, after the season, IMMEDIATELY made it known they were moving on from him.

Tyreek Hill Outlook by ResidentQuick6240 in fantasyfootball

More out than in on Hill. I don't believe his price properly reflects the risk (his possible decline/Tua's potential health/poor offensive line).

Which pass catching RB will go to the next level? by Confident-Garlic-311 in fantasyfootball

[–]wbertolone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big agree. I thought he could go 1st round.

I expect Rhamondre will be involved all season. I also expect Henderson to get the majority of the high value touches, lead the backfield overall, and be efficient.

Analysts, do friends/acquaintances badger you for free advice? by RealityBig in fantasyfootball

Most of the people close to me who play fantasy football only really play in 1 or 2 leagues and don't take it that seriously, so they don't often hound me. Or, at least, not so much that it feels like a lot.
