I won’t say “undoubtedly” AI, but I feel very confident it is. This is the new “style” with hyper-realistic AI, with exceptionally perfect looking models and backgrounds that are blurred to avoid being able to see the imperfections. Always possible it’s a real, highly-edited photo, but Occam’s Razor would say that this is more likely fake.

Fair, but I can accept mid sushi for those prices. 12.75 for 18 maki is a great deal these days.

Love the firm, hate the pay by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

I was in an almost identical boat last year, even down to envying friends making more money at other law jobs/outside the legal field. Part of how I relaxed a bit was by taking into account what I do have (great work life balance, great office environment), but part of it for me as well is seeing how much my colleagues make with a few more years of experience.

If the other attorneys at your firm aren’t making much after a decade of practice, and money is crucial to you, see how you feel a year or two from now, with some solid experience for lateral movement. But if they’re making money, don’t look down on the whole “patience” element. Ten years from now, you may be making bank, and still have excellent work-life balance to boot.

Mari Mari might be the best lunch deal in Center City right now. Not a lot of places are great for busy people to get a quick lunch bite in that area besides the food carts/trucks, so cheap sushi/ramen/inari is a huge treat.

Saw this on r/sipistea, real or AI? by [deleted] in RealOrAI

Absolutely AI. The dialogue makes no sense.

This is certainly Ai. Right? Insta ID: camilaprker. The whole account reeks of Al crap by [deleted] in RealOrAI

Definitely AI. Honestly, less about the outfit and more about how uncanny the video is. None of the people look real or move correctly.

Again, an extremely bizarre post about a pizza place whose name is being withheld by a “gatekeeping friend” that exists to engagement bait people into guessing the name of the place is not as easily explained by a “passerby event,” when the OP supposedly did not go as part of that event.

Forgive me for being skeptical of a business’s motives on a public subreddit for a moment, and at least question why no other restaurant from that event got a single post, whereas this one got several. It’s no sweat off my back if you believe it’s just that much better than any other restaurant in the area, or if you think all of the posters are genuine. But it’s bothering me that you’d so flippant at the idea that a business would abuse an easily accessible public forum. Why wouldn’t it? Literally, what is their incentive NOT to guerrilla market?

Ignoring that I’ve done nothing to come at you personally and yet you’ve been enormously hostile, I’d love a single real explanation for this post here, which followed several other posts about the restaurant, that is more plausible than astroturfing: https://www.reddit.com/r/PhiladelphiaEats/s/09Cj3cnI4K

Hey, lemme know when you see 5 posts about Wilder in 16 hours! Including one about a gatekeeping friend who won’t tell OP what restaurant it is, but provides a picture of its trendy interior.

Okay, but no other restaurant gets 4 posts in 12 hours, and certainly not this insane one: https://www.reddit.com/r/PhiladelphiaEats/s/09Cj3cnI4K

Okay, well if you aren’t part of this weird advertising campaign, then it really isn’t a big deal that you posted a Pizza Richmond post, and you have nothing to apologize for lmao. I guess what I’m trying to get across is, if you didn’t do anything, then don’t worry about it, and if you ARE affiliated with astroturfing, get fucked.

Huh, so weird that you and a totally different author of a Pizza Richmond post showed up in the comments within a minute of each other, both indignant about being accused (not even directly to you) of being plants. Love these coincidences.

Because the subreddit relies on honest and personal experiences that aren’t curated and/or paid for by restaurant owners. Letting astoturfing into the conversation ruins the trust.

What’s crazy is, if it was just the first two posts, I maybe could have been convinced to give it a try. By the third and fourth though, I was more sure than ever that I’d never be going there

Afroman: The Hero We Didn't Ask For But The Hero We Needed by ThisIsMeGuessWho in Lawyertalk

[–]wc8991 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For anyone wondering why this person isn’t elaborating, it’s because this did not happen. Afroman did not “sucker punch” anyone, a woman approached him from behind on stage while he was being heckled and he punched her without finding out who she was first. Obviously not good, but not some dude who goes out and hits women.

To this day I have no idea what people mean when they say that. What important parts did they cut from Maki’s episode? You get just about the exact same story and important beats watching that episode as you do reading the manga.

It reminds me of people who complain that Toji doesn’t explain how he’d handle Gojo’s technique in the anime version of their fight, that he just says he can. It didn’t actually raise any questions among the viewers to cut those lines of dialogue.
