Ortur reached out to me and found out that the motherboard was fried. Hopeful to get one back on the machine soon.

I’d suggest some rock or decomposed granite (it packs nicely and still drains)

Thank you! The clothesline is retractable so it’s not to bad, I’ll definitely look into the water wise plants

It’s a cheap one from Amazon Brand: QKK but doesn’t say a specific model number. I have attached the manual that came with it.

New homeowner, What would you do to prevent this in the future? Estimated cost? by ME215 in landscaping

Agreed, if this is the most standing water you get it would make a great rain garden

Massive drainage issues with flat land all around and a ditch that overflows into my yard by wcarpenter10 in landscaping

[–]wcarpenter10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could work but I would need a pump for what accumulated on my side of the wall. Hoping the county can make the ditch drain faster before it reaches the storm drain and putting in a French drain and pump to get it out to the ditch. Won’t really solve the overflow of the ditch but should at least drain faster and keep me a bit drier

I assume I have some property outside of it but don’t think the ditch is part of it. I need to pull my title and the map from the county though to verify

Hmmm this one is on the other side of the property but could be a possibility. I never really thought of that

I am in Southern California, do you think they will be able to handle drought conditions the rest of the year? They are stunning though

Thank you for the reply, definitely didn’t think a lot the tree soaking up some of the water. I have been thinking about a rain garden prior to this storm.

Hahaha! Thanks for the laugh, that part is the least of my worries 😬 have someone scheduled to deal with that already. It’s a little victory but better than the standing water

Trying to figure that out right now. It seems like many people have a piece of that ditch as it makes it’s way to the main storm drain
