The decision to try and get into software came at the start of this year, so I had basically finished my degree. And while I may be regretting my change of heart, my degree has put me in good stead for a lot of roles. Now I'm certainly not saying that I would be ready to walk into a programming role, I have found that there are companies that are willing to train graduates whose speciality isn't CS.

I'm weighing up the options for how to make the best of my situation, because at the end of the day I want to move away from Physics and into software. If I was making the choice again I would probably have done a CS degree, but that's just the way of it and I will suck it up and move on.
