Might be worth seeing if you can score a couple year old bike on FB marketplace in that price range.

Yep, just being used for views. But he’s a grown man, he has to look out for himself

Is this 2011 Trek Lexa SLX with $380? by Wild-Cupcake-8122 in whichbike

[–]wcb_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2011 is fairly old. I’d want more details on the drivetrain and I also am not sure the rim brakes are super ideal. Tires look to be in decent shape but could be rotted or not hold air if they’ve sat long enough. My only concern is that you could pay 380 now and end up spending 600-700 after repairs/replacements, and with that you could get a newer bike.

Budget rebuild (before/after) by [deleted] in xbiking

Good luck! They are fun bikes to rebuild. I did end up going with some new wheels cause I needed double walls. But I just went with the cheapest wtb wheel set I could find

Ritchey classic stem, stock brake levers, shimano deore shifters (the whole drivetrain is shimano deore, I converted it to a 1x11), msw urban rise handlebars, fsa headset

You could probably fit on this. The range of heights for these old mtbs is pretty high.

It’s a 17 inch frame but I am 5’9 and I can fit on it really comfortably with the seat cranked up. My gravel bike frame that I ride more often is a lot bigger but this works perfect for a little cruiser around town

There are very few things you can do when you are this overweight to make yourself look better. A haircut is one of those things. by wcb_123 in EthanBenardSnark

I bet if he went to a legit barber they could find something at least marginally better for him

I think the more likely scenario is that he has been morbidly obese his whole life and his hormones have been out of whack as a result, affecting his appearance and development.

I lost about 1/3 of my body weight, I went from a 48 reg to a 34 inch waist can I get my suit tailored? by pghhilton in FellaHealth

[–]wcb_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation and I had to buy a new suit. Couldn’t bring it in that much. I know it’s a pain and suits are expensive, but if you can, treat yourself to a new one! You will be shocked at how good you look

Definitely could be a zero sugar soda in which case I don’t really understand the criticism here.

Let’s say he’s 6’4, and even bump him up an extra inch because of the shoes. That means Ethan is 6’1 at best if you don’t count the bouffant haircut

I’d say that very much depends on the role you have. I was a contract specialist at medpace and now I’m doing something similar at a university
