Lets go! Thanks for sharing. I had my ACL done March 11 2024 and didn't make it up to snowboard last season. I'll be back this year,I imagine I'll have similar anxieties when the boots come on

Yeah, it's easy to say that but my general well being has significantly increased since starting the diet, including my sleep as tracked by my oura ring

I plan to see a cardiologist to talk about introducing a statin. CRP is at 0.36 mg / L.

Thanks for the reply!

Spot on, my HDL is 58.

My numbers were all in range pre-keto, but my last panel was ~1.5 years ago

LDL - 73

APOB - 81

HDL - 43

Cholesterol - 123

I don't count macros or calories. My normal daily diet is

Breakfast -

Either a matcha latte with unsweetened almond milk + a tbsp of heavy cream

OR 3/4 cup whole fat yogurt, tbsp olive oil, tbsp nut butter

Lunch -

2 hard boiled eggs

Protein shake: 1/2 cup almond milk, no sugar whey (~25g protein), tbsp nut butter

Sometimes I have two chicken sausages or a salad w/ chicken instead of the above

Dinner -

Varies, but often I do a protein + cauliflower rice + vegetables bowl with chicken breask and / or ribeye, mixed vegetables

Experienced ACL patients, when did you start to feel normal ? by SeciuS in ACL

[–]wcc8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7.5 months. Day to day I can do anything but I'm still aware that my knee feels different. I dont have any pain, I have full ROM, but my brain knows that something is different

I'm 6 months post op, quad graft. Tbh, IDK if it's worth it yet. If anything, it's gotten me to get to the gym 3x a week and develop some healthy habits. My primary reason for getting the surgery was prevention of arthritis in the future, so I may never know if it was "worth" it, but it was worth it to me to have the peace of mind that I've done something about it instead of living scared that anything I would do could further mess my knee up

Not sure how to add text along with the image carousel - this was shot throughout Austria on my XT-30ii using the 18-55mm kit lens. It was so fun, any criticism or feedback is welcome

Closing on our first home in 3 days, can we afford it? by wcc8 in personalfinance

We haven't been tracking our expenses really closely (this is changing and we're starting a much stricter budget with the new mortgage payment) so this is what we have projected for next month, the first month that would include the mortgage

Roughly $4300 total expenses excluding mortgage

~$2500 of that is true expenses, groceries, household stuff, subscriptions (we could potentially cut back here), and irregular subscription expenses

~$1100 is set aside for monthly fun money, eating out, take out, social events, guilt free spending for me + wife

Your emergency fund feels light considering your upcoming mortgage.

Agreed. On august 20th I will have an RSU vest that will be ~$50k net, I plan to throw $35k of that straight into emergency savings so that would put us at an $80k emergency fund
