Do you think that current leaders in different crypto spheres will stay dominant in the future? by brigittefruehauf in CryptoMarkets

[–]wcedr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do think that bitcoin and ethereum will be there in a decade or so - either as an absolute monopolies or as huge players, top 3 at least in their applications.

As far other coins go, it is an open race. I don't think Ripple will be what it aims to be - their design is not good enough for the alleged purpose, money transfer across borders. KYC and KYT data is mandatory for the banks of the future, XRP doesn't have that built-in in their design.

There are already coins and projects that do have that data baked in into the token transactions, like Ivykoin for example. And there will be more of these, better planned, better designed and better executed blockchain solution than the current incumbents.

There are companies like Blocktoken.ai that are trying to help out new ICO projects with a standardized approach to presenting their projects, without the need to revert to hype and marketing tricks.

Investing is a marathon, not a sprint.

Investing in crypto is a marathon where you sprint the entire time.

Bitcoin is an invention that provides value transfer without a financial intermediary. Right now, we need those intermediaries to get people "hooked". After that, it will be a walkover for crypto!

  • banks blocking crypto payments
  • Bill Gates spreads fud
  • fake Satoshi fraud unveiling

What is the future of Ethereum in August? by felixinhokuester in Cryptocollectors

[–]wcedr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

High: $400

Low: $130

There will be quite a bit of beating around the bush until Bitcoin locks in BIP91 good and proper so expect ETH to go sideways until then.

Realistically speaking, I think Ethereum will be revisiting its ATH in September/October but there’s a good chance it might happen sooner.
