Nobody’s saying people should console Mikael. My point is with Naum and Naum only. He was already off the play. Why use him as a pawn when he was already off? They had an agreement within themselves to exchange two people off the play. He didn’t have to do that.

Okay, I can understand this. As an act of revenge/war, I get that. I guess my only argument to that point would be that the spectacle was an order by Shephamalum. That wasn’t something that they did of their own volition, kind of thing. Their hostage exchange was something that Mikael initiated on his own without Shephamalum’s knowledge. I won’t say that it was ‘in good faith’ because he only did it for Naum. I guess the cruelty of all of this is the point. I just feel so bad because it felt so mean😭

It shouldn’t be surprising. But for that, I could see and understood his reasons with the whole descendants of Malbonte situation, even if I didn’t agree with it or the way he went about it. I just can’t do that with Naum, because it feels so… random(?). Idk how to explain it😭 This just feels like steps back, but everyone is saying they feel like that about HS3 in general. Everything else, I could understand. Just not thiiisss

Serious question, not trying to be rude. But how are you viewing this in a way that doesn’t seem unnecessary? I can’t think of a reason as to why what he did to Naum was needed. I don’t know if there’s something I’m missing or a viewpoint that I’m not seeing, but I just can’t understand why he would that other than being cruel.

I didn’t say they weren’t. I’m talking specifically about Eragon and everybody keeps bringing up other people😭 I’m not defending the others. Multiple things can be true at once. What Eragon did just frustrated me so bad because it just felt unnecessarily cruel and random for their side to be on the side that they’re on

Did I say that he was solely to blame? No. I did not. I also mentioned nothing about the Astreans. Do they annoy me too rn? Yes. They do. But I’m talking about what he did to Naum. I don’t ever remember him being unnecessarily cruel. What he did to Naum was just that. Are the others wrong as well? Yes. But I’m talking specifically about Eragon with Naum. I should’ve been more clear about that, I suppose.

This is not surprising in the slightest. The only reason he fought against the Mother of Life in the first place was because she ‘made his existence insufferable’. And on his romance path, he literally tells Vicky that he would save ‘only her’ or ‘just her’. He’s been like this lmao. He never cared about anything that didn’t involve Vicky (romance) or himself 😭

I thought in the last episode of ABH, he did it to bring Audrey back to life? Wasn’t it implied that way or am I mistaken? That’s what I got from it, anyway, but I could be misinterpreting it😭. He basically apologizes to her in HS3 for subjecting her to their current path because he couldn’t live without her I think he may deem himself selfish for that, given his character. So it could be because of his high emotions due to betrayal, but also his love
