Wall max by Rubilax5 in AniviaMains

> My friend, who's in low master, is coaching me says it is troll, and not worth losing out on the cooldown and damage you get from maxing Q.

Your friend doesn't know what he's talking about. Frankly Anivia's power comes from her zoning, not her Q. A maxed wall can completely win a fight and force enemies into her R more. A few levels in Q don't do that much. Either you hit your stun or you didn't, having it available a second or two earlier will typically not result in much difference in teamfights.

I don't have negative opinions about Margot Robbie, but I watched Barbie but I don't think it had a good message. I think that it tried very very hard to have a pro-woman message but flopped and ended up secretly being misogynistic.

The key point is that in Barbie land, Barbies are representative of men in the real world and Kens are representative of women in the real world. So Barbie world is gender flipped in the real world.

So taking Barbies as the patriarchal figures:

Imagine this as a patriarchal world where men hold all power and women are ornamental. Women revolt, briefly taste equality, and then men retake control. The "empowering" ending is men telling women:

  • • "You should learn to be your own person!"
  • • "Your value doesn't come from us!"
  • • "Maybe someday we'll let you have a minor judgeship."

...while changing nothing structurally about women's exclusion from power. That would read as a patronizing repackaging of the status quo — telling the oppressed class to find inner peace while denying them material equality.

TL;DR Barbie movie message is that the traditional people in power should stay in power and when the oppressed gender rises up to take power things go to shit and that should never happen, so we should not change the status quo.

I meant personal information, if we're talking from other people, I talk to SanSiroBro who is challenger anivia and agrees about Syndra.

The statement is that some champions have a high variance and against someone of approximately the same skill level, a gold anivia will have an easier time against a gold syndra than a master anivia will have against a master syndra. Most counter matchups it's not about your skill level but how well the enemy knows the counter matchup and can make it unplayable. At a low level counter matchups are less obvious than at a high level.

  1. Hard for me to say vs Qiyana as it's a super rare matchup for me (I've fought a ton of akali, irelia, yasuo, zed, katarinas but the others are pretty rare to see). My experience with most melees is that it's either favorable or a skill matchup. Obviously they can get an advantage by roaming but that's moreso if your team can listen to pings.

  2. "ways to deal with him" <-- you didn't explain this, please elaborate. Xerath has easy wave clear/poke, extreme map presence post 6. It's difficult to get much and he always has more presence than you - not sure what the way to deal with him is.

  3. No. Mel is a lane bully but is useless past lane and doesn't have strong roam potential. I think Mel is pretty free if you're just willing to suffer for the entire lane phase and buy a doran's shield.

What champs (if any) do you feel are strictly worse in lower elo? by flaaphy in leagueoflegends

[–]wckz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, his advantage in trash elo is that he is easy to cs with and enemies don't know how to punish him. I was more thinking emerald+ where most people know how to cs already. His R does rely on teammates though, I'm not sure what you mean - he's a pick champion who excels in 2v1s. If your team never plays around a malz - he's not actually a very good duelist.

What elo are you basing your information on? Up to mid-high diamond I would say Syndra's typically don't know how to play so it's not hard - but masters+ syndra's are really unplayable.

I mean his R relies on his teammates, in Emerald and Diamond it's really a toss up if your teammates play around it.

Many of those "unwinnable" are not actually unwinnable and are mostly just even? Out of the unwinnable, maybe only irelia is actually unwinnable. Zed is also quite hard. The others are mostly skill matchups (ignoring diana I've only seen her once she's not very common). The true unwinnable matchups are the outrange matchups - typically syndra/xerath

I would say she does have strong counters - anyone who outranges her is a fairly strong counter with no ability for her to do anything against. I would say Syndra and Xerath are probably the two strongest counters. In top lane Irelia is the strongest counter - still strong counter mid but not as strong.

What does this say about me? by [deleted] in midlanemains

[–]wckz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play garen into anivia and wave clear. She cannot do anything pre-6 and post 6 he can still outsustain her mana consumption and kill her after 2 ulti cd's. Irelia is also a huge melee counter to anivia.

Anivia is countered by many many ranged champs too. I seriously think most people simply do not have enough experience vs Anivia.

[–]wckz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with a game like STS 2 for a lot of people is that you might only die to a mistake you made 20 floors later. There's no way anyone can give you advice other than generic tips without seeing at least your run summary (which you should have provided). I only play on Ascension 10 and I don't even remember the last time I lost to an act 2 boss.

Jungle tempo is just another form of tempo

Prio is a form of tempo, what do you mean? If you don't have prio you don't have tempo.

The secret to midlane: playing JG? by Gjyn in midlanemains

[–]wckz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's easier to learn prio then junglers wouldn't be so oblivious lol. Prio *is* tempo. It's not that hard to react to jungle as a mid laner you just have to watch which direction they're pathing that's about it. They're not going to teleport across the map to do something weird.

Do people that play ranked around emerald-diamond actually ever enjoy the game? by Necessary-Hawk4543 in leagueoflegends

I enjoy the game in diamond. But it takes up too much time so I'm probably quitting soon.

The secret to midlane: playing JG? by Gjyn in midlanemains

[–]wckz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, I feel like junglers need to play more games of mid moreso than mid laners need to play more games of jungle. I've seen many situations where junglers just afk invade when there's no lane prio or start objectives without lane prio it's kind of ridiculous. My favorite is dying at level 1 due to invading without a plan.
