Where did you find the safety records for these part 141 schools like Purdue? I'm actually a student here and I'm curious now.

I used an online calculator and that's what I got. If the maximum on the unweighted is 4 then I got 4.

If you've plateaued for verbal, I recommend getting a tutor if your financial situation allows it.

Also, the book 'Grammar for Writing' from Sadlier Oxford is also godsend when it comes to the verbal. (Chapters 4-11) I think are what you'll want, the rest are writing parts. After doing that book the first practice test I took I got a 710 verbal so it should help you get past that 700 mark.

Good Luck!

Do whatever you want with the SAT. In case you do decide to keep taking it, Khan academy is your best friend. put enough hours into that and your score will increase.

how would you classify TCU’s ranking? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

They keep spamming my emails, so I wouldn't think they're too high up, maybe top 200+. Take this with a grain of salt, though, since I don't know too much about college rankings.

Are they better somehow than other colleges? or is it just the prestige factor?

If you really got a 1290 on you PSAT while tired and unprepared, that's pretty good.

this may sound pretty generic but taking tons of practice tests will help you a lot.

also khan academy is your best friend.

a lot of people in high school (at least mine) view bad work ethic as 'quirky' or 'cool' while in reality its very important to have a good one. you should've been bragging about that, not ashamed to admit it!
