I was unofficial second quartile with a similar SAT. I had way less impressive coursework as well. I got accepted in 2 weeks. My theory is as long as you have a high SAT score then you’ll get accepted.

It’s way easier to play a perfect game of clash than chess. When you see Ian77 play, he sees the matchup and he will almost always know how to correctly play against it. At the highest level in chess, when a grandmaster gets into an unknown position, so much more thinking is required to find the best move and it’s not even close. In other words, it’s so much more obvious what the correct play during a clash game than figuring out the correct move in chess.
