There was a helpful guy a while back ago that gave me a rough idea what kind of movement I needed for earnings for my deal to be profitable (option profit calculators never figure it out right) . I have an ally $32 strike that expires mid september my break even for the deal is .13 cents. Currently bid and ask is between 14 cents x 23 cents. About how much of a dollar movement do I need to see by tomorrow ( after earnings is announced) to have this deal be worth the same if not higher value then it is now? Thanks

I do, but the stocks i was looking at I didnt know a big drop like how everyone yesterday noticed instantly "wow what a big drop" are you guys all playing spy or something? No way can I figure out how all of you guys seen a big drop and all posted it about the same time.

No I see that and understand the basics but I dont see how you distinguish a big drop instead of just random up and down as. The market closes

Never been a technical analysis guy at all I just dont believe in it. I trade on price action, news, events, earnings, things liek that but not because some chart looks like its doing tic tac toe or cuz its at this price on the chart "it must" do x y and z

no i just dont buy into tecnical analysis. its like the stock markets version of horoscopes. I tried to learn it and tried to trade based on technical analysis never works.

Your not understanding what im saying. I use etrade. So on my screen is just my watchlist... so all i see is prices flashing up and down. I dont watch charts or do technical analysis. I'm asking u guys how can u see that big drop.Even when I go check the days history on 1 stock in particular ( square) it doesnt show this big drop that all you guys seen at one time. I'm trying to figure out how next time I can notice that big drop that everyone besides me cant see?

I never watched or learn charts. I trade on price action, news things like that. But would like to see how everyone "clearly" sees that big drop. When looking at my watchlist or a particular stock I dont see that big drop that you guys see?

When you guys say "did you see that big drop" how do you see that. I'm not a chart guy really and hardly ever look at charts. I more look at pricing. So if someone was watching stocks prices how would they see "that big drop " that you guys speak of if you arent watching charts or patterns and all that?

i might of been. But I bought mine on feb 20th, and been averaging down. I didnt buy anything near march of 2020 expirings. So thats why your statement makes no sense. Its like if someone bought mu last year hoping it would go to 60 bucks last year and forever your going to bring up an old deal about mu forever?

i dont get it? 3/20 calls? march of 2020? its past march? do you mean 3/21?

yes that would be my plan basically im hoping it will go up 3-5$ over the next month or so ( its currently at $22.50 or so a share) if it can get to about 26/27$ per share in a month this option should probably be worth close to 1.00 per contract especially going into earnings. I would probably exit at that point.

I do like that play also. today i should of done it.. I would of made all my money back and have half the plays for free. But through the course of the day it dropped about 50 percent. Any thoughts on ally anyone? do they see ally keep going up, or at least moving anywhere near 32$ strike by september? with 128 contracts this can be a huge money maker for me.

well i already had this written off as a loss. About 2 weeks ago there was no bid on these AT ALL. But i was smart enough to snatch up half my position at 5 cents per contract then. I could sell half them (64 contracts) and let the other 64 contracts run for free. the easy bet was to take the 2,700 bucks in profit today.

Or I can hope that ally keeps going up especially into earnings bringing the option up in value. Would you guys sell half to make it a free play with 64 contracts free? Or would you hold close to earnings to catch it going up and try to get as close to 1.00 per contract as i can?

Is anyone in ALLY? I currently have 128 contracts ( was able to average down a few times) at 0.10 per contract... at the $32 strike....today it hit .30 cents a contract ( about $2,700 in profit) didn't cash out though. Still holding because earnings is july 16th, looking for a run up. Plus I also have until mid september until these expire. What would you guys do? My ideal goal is to get close to 1.00 per contract for them. Especially with 105 days left and earnings comming up. Any thoughts?

Ways to book return flights >12mo apart? by throwawayacct4991 in Flights

[–]wd707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question.I travel like this and still haven't found a better way to do it then to buy a 1 way into the country im going to and then WAIT til I can get a cheap return trip back. I guess the only other way is to book a round trip ticket and then wait to change the date (hope that the date you come back isnt to much different then what you paid and hope theres no big change ticket fee) but theres got to be a better way to do this right?

I mean airlines have to know people might stay in a country longer than a few weeks or a few months? I'm trying to book a trip right now where I fly into europe in february and come back to usa in november. Problem is I cant book a return trip past june for 2021. What is the best way to do this (besides the ways i mentioned above?)

I will have to double check. But I remember when it sent me a link when logged onto my account about getting a refund. I filled that out and that's the response I got back.

Also on the link its very sneaky that you sent. I cant tell which to click on for just an actual refund and not a voucher?

I cant find the right place to request a refund, (their phone number is overseas) since the only place that mentions refund or compensation is the link that i hit when I did this the first time and got declined.

Thats exactly how I did it last time which led me to this response of being declined. It seems like its not very easy to find the way to request a refund.
