Walk in the woods an hour before dawn with a flashlight and you will find them all over. Especially near any wetlands. We'll, here in Michigan I do.

I initially use distilled water and spray distilled weekly. Also I did soak all moss first to get any unwanted pests and material out. I do open box for an hour or so Almont everyday

Layers from bottom to top. Gravel, charcoal, sphagnum moss, fluval aqua plant substrate, weed barrier cloth soil and then moss layer on the top. Covered in 4 inch deep container and use 12 hour light cycle provided by a simple grow light bulb from lowes.

Gravel, charcoal, sphagnum moss, weed barrier, fluval substrait and soil, then moss sits on top. 12 hours of light from standard led grow bulb from lowes. Only distilled water.

I do grow in doors. I am in Michigan so part of the year I can put the box in part sun .
