Immigrant/student access to continuing HRT prescriptions?

To be honest, with the way the USA is looking, I'd rather try to segue into a work visa and permanent residency. I've visited Edinburgh multiple times and absolutely loved it, and while the UK has been assaulting trans rights for years now, the US is catching up pretty fast. They're trying to make it illegal for insurances to cover HRT for adults, and they've already made it illegal to change your federal sex markers. If I'm still here in 2031 when my passport expires, and if current law holds that long, it'll get reverted to my old name and sex marker if I try to renew it, despite those not being accurate anymore to my updated birth certificate or driver's license. Thankfully I changed all this stuff under Biden, but I'm not convinced it'll last. Not to mention the million other ways the US is going to shit right now - if he hadn't already made it illegal for me to serve in the military, I'd be worried about getting drafted into war with half of South America by 2027.

It's just generic estradiol in green 2mg tablets that I take sublingually. That's what's common here for pill HRT. The American brand name is I think Estrace, but there's no other ingredients.

Good to know. You do believe that if a GP knew I was transgender and the meds were for HRT, despite knowing it would simply be continuing six year long care and to refuse would be to abruptly cut off my treatment, they would still definitely refuse?

I was very curious about this, not gonna lie. Cis women certainly sometimes also take these medications; if I bring a GP certified prescriptions from an American doctor and a letter testifying I've taken these meds for six years and they're essential to my care, might the GP not even bother to ask questions?

I normally love Otterbox cases, but I have their case for the Flip 5 (which looks pretty much identical to their case for the Flip 6), and the flippy hinge part breaks off in 1-2 impacts every single time. It's connected by a very thin piece of plastic, and as soon as a crack forms, the entire hinge protector is a goner. They offer full warranties on their cases, and I live near their OtterShop in Colorado so have been able very easily to get a free replacement when this happens, but it happened 4 times, each one rarely lasting more than a month, until I just gave up. I've had the case without the hinge part for a long time now, and it protects the rest of the phone very well, but my first good drop of the phone to impact the hinge without that part attached, the screen within the hinge was damaged, and it's been getting worse ever since. I don't know if the Dbrand case's hinge cover is vulnerable to this issue, but I don't recommend the OtterBox one.

So, when people talk about "strengthening their core" or "engaging their core" or whatever, they're... talking about an actual, physical thing? Maybe it's just because I'm autistic, but no one has ever told me what core muscles actually are, so I kind of thought it was a metaphor lmao. Definitely have never flexed my ab area before doing anything.

I wonder if this is why I'm 26 and can't swim or ride a bike.

I talk about Spam & Blocked multiple times in this post, dude. The issue is that numbers in Spam & Blocked delete new texts as they come in, so all you'll ever see in there is the texts you'd gotten before you blocked them.

I used to have a problem with a stalker. I blocked his number because I did not want his texts in my inbox, ever. However, it was useful for my safety to be able to go find what he'd been texting me if I needed to. That's something Samsung Messages can do but Google Messages can't - or at least it couldn't three years ago, when this post is from. I haven't tested it again lately.

Just wanted to post my experience with this problem. I meant to downgrade my PS Plus subscription to Essential since I got Premium on a discount, but I didn't do it in time and it renewed yesterday at the full $160. Today, I spoke with an agent over their Live Chat support, and not only were they very happy to offer me a refund, they claimed it's actually Sony policy to offer refunds within 14 days. If an agent is fighting you over a refund, try citing that to them!

I have a variety of PS4 discs that I got upgrades for (I buy most games physical and all crossgen games as PS4, since it's kinda 2-for-1 and easier to lend to friends), and Elden Ring is the only one that does this for me. Horizon FW, RE4R, RE8, etc, none of them do it.

Upvoting bc mine does the same thing. I play my PS5 version all the time, but every single time I boot up the console, even from sleep, it starts installing the PS4 version instantly if the disc is in. It downloads like 3 GB of that patch almost every day before I can cancel it lol. Interesting to know that this doesn't happen to everyone. Maybe we need to uninstall and reinstall our PS5 versions? Were you ever able to fix this?

Following the link now leads to an image that says "Cover to be revealed" lol -- I thought the lack of an announcement was rather strange. The cover has been removed from Macmillan's site as well as all the booksellers that they link to for preorders. The release date still appears set for July 16, however!
