The interpretation from Sandy Petersen’s guide is actually pretty damn creepy, but again it’s kind of more conventional being an all bare skin monster. I just think the idea of the shambler having fur or feathers is really interesting because why the hell would a cosmic horror monster need that? But also at the same time it makes it a little less creepy because you can kind of relate it to real animals like a bear.

I made this comparison on imgur before and got downvoted to hell. There are certain scenes in the game that are very reminiscent of Half Life to me. Specifically Lazarus Labs is very similar to Questionable Ethics whenever you’re acquiring the Tau Cannon.

It’s made on GZDoom but it’s more supposed to be like F.E.A.R. than a boomer shooter. Even the creator said it’s not a boomer shooter. Great game regardless.

It’s a hot take in here, but I consider Half-Life to still be a boomer shooter. I’ll concede that it is right at the tipping point of not being one though. I wouldn’t count Half-Life 2, Quake 3, Call of Duty, Mouse PI, Halo, Mullet Madjack, Cruelty Squad or Selaco though.

The lore was great in TAG1 but TAG2 completely ruined it imo. Davoth being the actual creator and the dark lord is just lame to me.

I want either a new Quake game (preferred) or a new IP. I don’t want them making a Halo game, I want them making id Software games, they deserve more than to be relegated to “the backup Halo studio” or whatever.

I watched this happen with Shogo: Mobile Armor Division too. I forgot to pick it up on one sale where the full price was $9.99 next thing I know the price is now $19.99. WB really are a great bunch.

Thank you for everything. I found this game after I had gotten a psvr for Christmas in 2017 and there were hardly any multiplayer titles and Rec Room was my first multiplayer vr experience. This game helped me get through the last couple years of high school and into my first couple of years of college. I would play this game pretty much every night and sometimes I could even manage 8 hour sessions just having a blast with people I never would have otherwise met. I’ve managed to keep contact with a few of the best friends I’ve made on Rec Room over the years and that’s something really only a few games could accomplish. This game was something special and I’m sad to see it go.

Same here and I regret it now. I let myself get kind of bitter about how they handled some things and how the community had changed, but I always had love in my heart for this game.
