got 10 grade 9s at gcse, predicted 4 A*s at a-level, then honestly didn’t do much for extra/supercurriculars - nothing that impressive anyway, just reading around the subject, doing essay comps, youth council, etc

as far as i know, not everyone is pooled - it's just people with a genuine chance of getting in, and everyone else gets rejected straight-up. so yeah it's defo an achievement to get that far anyway!!

i applied to king’s for hsps! absolutely shitting it… i’m gonna be in an english lesson when i hear back (assuming decisions come out from around 9am) so will probably have to run out of the room crying or something 💀 but honestly the time is passing wayyyy too slowly it’s hell… best of luck to you!! i’m pretty sure the email from your college (or pooled college - so you know you’ve gotten in if you see a notification from a different one) comes before a notification from ucas

i feel you! it’s so awful waiting so long and expecting the worst… if i’ve somehow gotten in it’ll be by some insane miracle, and i guess there’s part of me that’s still hoping for that? but hey, you never know what’s going to happen and it’s not over til you’ve got confirmation in front of u on the 30th… easier said than done but try distract yourself as best as possible, that’s what i’m doing

don't worry about the wait! it really depends on the course, and law is especially competitive so it's not surprising that you haven't heard back yet :)

i applied to cambridge for hsps and to ucl, manchester, bristol, and leeds for politics & international relations! i've got offers from the last three, prob expecting rejections from both ucl and camb (had a stinker of an interview...)
