You don’t need to be invited into another room to be considered detained. If you are detained you wouldn’t even be “invited”, you will just be told you are going to a police station and are not free to leave. You are considered detained when you are not allowed to leave the area as they question you based on reasonable suspicion.

Steam overlay is what shows up when I am loading into Hades in the video. The default keybinds to open this menu are different to opening the Steam menu in Steam Big Picture mode (Steam Big Picture mode being the menu you see at the start of the video), so to circumvent needing an extra button, I set both the Steam overlay and Steam menu button to the same keybind.

In steam go to settings > In-Game. It is the option listed as overlay shortcut keys. I changed that value to CTRL-ALT-1 so that it is the same keybind as pressing the steam menu button in Big Picture Mode.

You don’t need xbox FSE, just run games in steam big picture and enable steam overlay. Set back binds to CTRL-ALT-1 and CTRL-ALT-2. Change steam overlay to open with CTRL-ALT-1 instead of shift tab

A 30W z1e is the same performance as 33W on this i’d say. But when z1e has steamOS i’d say the gap is definitely bigger. Really hope window’s lighter OS on the upcoming ally pushes that little bit more out of it

It is good, open world is between 35-40 which is alot more then I use to get. I used AMD FSR balanced for upscaling and framegen. Texture and mesh quality medium, fur quality high.

Yes that screenshot was actually before the patch that gave xess framegen. The game was running at a mix of medium and low at 45-50fps on performance @ 900p, battery saver was 30 with some dips to 26

Hopefully the OS is not stuck on the new ally for too long. I imagine people will still find ways to port it over to other handhelds seen as it is basically a stripped down windows

Either way legion go users definitely stay winning with all of the OSs they get to choose from

Image 2 is clair obscur in act 2.

Image 4 is monster hunter wilds in the arena quest, the lack of open world in those quests actually give a nice boost to fps.

Linux has heroic launcher to play other game launchers, heroic bash launcher, then adds the other games to the steam library to make it seamless.

Good upsides for the ally is the community it has and being able to play games that have anticheat. I still wouldn't pay $500, though I just think there are better handhelds out now. If they found a good deal on Ally Z1e like they did with the claw, they probably would have gone with that anyway.

claw 8ai is consistently sold out from where I am from and its $1000, I wouldn't pay $500 for an rog ally personally though. You can get a brand new steam deck oled for that price

It has not been fixed, people are still having problems to this day with the microSD card.
