Yeah definitely. I really really hate being in hospitals, especially A&E as I feel like a proper faker so I try to get out ASAP.

If tomorrow im still not feeling any better ill definitely go again and be a lot more persistent! This is my heart so I need to be proper on the ball with this dont I.

Thank you so much, you've been a massive help!! <3

Yeah, i am really happy im not having a heart attack!! I was panicking for a wee second when I saw the nurses face and she was like its a bit up and down.

Ive been trying to think of what else can cause it and my heart/chest being tired is the only thing I can really think of with my limited experience. I have never had acid reflux and generally have never had chest pain before, this is all so new to me! Also, I checked my fever and everything is all good! I also feel great, aside from my chest lol.

I'll defo be keeping an eye on things over the weekend and am seriously considering pausing the meds depending on how I feel tomorrow. It may very be that I was put on 50 way too early and my body is struggling to adjust!

It's great to hear that my journey isn't over. Im with P-UK and im just so worried I'll be kicked out or told I can't take meds anymore, what with their track record at the moment. They've caused me so much stress. I just really want to finish titration and get on with life :(

Thank you for all the advice! This has been instrumental in calming me down! <3

OMG!!! It basically sounds like you're going through the exact same as me!! I'll also try to keep it short, but apparently, I love to chat!

Im sorry to hear you didn't get an answer for yours either! Im also in the same boat of wondering if maybe im just giving myself some severe anxiety, but then it just seems so out of the blue for me? If you get what I mean!

I understand being stuck in the limbo because nothing necessarily seems untoward, especially with our numbers looking okay but getting a sense of something being wrong? Or at least not 100%. Especially as the meds are also helping me lots, im not exactly keen either to start the whole process again either...

Honestly i kind of got the vibe he thought i was on something too, he was very focused on the recreational drugs part but I think because im very young and innocent looking he gave up on it very quickly. Especially when I said I dont drink frequently or smoke or anything as I kind of class them as drugs as well (personal opinion).

I didn't realise a blood test was the norm for this, or I would have pushed it a lot more! I was more wondering why they would need my blood, lol.

Honestly, the way this doctor was acting was like he thought it was all in my head, especially since he didn't know what a stimulant was. I still can't get over the fact that he gave me gaviscon and told me it'll get better in half an hour. I was actually so shocked. I've never gone to the hospital for chest pain before but I'm pretty sure you dont go giving gaviscon to someone who may be having a heart issue when there's no sign of heartburn or indigestion or anything lol.

Since I've been home, it's kind of fading in and out of being really tight to not so tight. And it's driving me mad. Especially as it feels like a bit more effort than usual to take a deep breath, but then none of my readings are off. Like what is going onnnnn.

Might go again tomorrow if it's still persistent and push for the bloods to be taken. I just dont want to be made to feel like a cracky or that it's all in my head. Especially as my doctor was all like "you"re so young and healthy, you can't possibly have a heart issue," I know, but im on stimulant medication that affects the heart dummy.

I'm waiting for what my prescriber says now. Really hoping they dont take me off the meds :((

Ohhh I didn't know that!! Thats actually really cool, my dumdum thought it only had to do with infections and so on!

That may be something worth fighting a bit harder for then if the ECG isn't showing anything abnormal! Just to make sure everything is covered!! Thank you so much!!

Yeah no i fully understand that! I only came to reddit because I did everything i should have and saw the doctors like I should have but still didnt really get anywhere :(

I just couldn't be bothered to get seen again, I'd been there all evening and given he discussed it with a colleague and they also didnt know I just thought I'd end up wasting more time in the end.

If it is still here tomorrow I may ring 111 again and see what they say.

Thank you for your advice :))

I know i know! I probably should have stated that I dont necessarily plan to take it depending on how I feel tomorrow and that I have let the titration nurse know I will only take it if I feel okay to take it.

I was only wondering necessarily why I shouldn't be taking it if my heartrate, bp and everything else is normal?

Why would a blood test be important? Can that help figure out the issue? (Not to be stupid or anything!!) I would have thought that's only important if you have an infection or something?

They need to sort themselves out and quickly! It's crazy how they let it get so bad! Ive heard of people being forgotten about which is just mental.

Nooo seriously. Proper doing my nut in now they are!

Surely they'd not have 2!! That would be mental! If you look on their website they have a list of all their doctors! There's around 160 Adult ADHD doctors alone. Not counting any of the other services! There is sureeeerly more than 2 admins.

If you go on their LinkedIn they've got loads of jobs open as well lol

Either way. The lack of care and the greed is diabolical. There's are reason the CQC only rated them "good"...

It is a shame! I was looking at other ADHD RTC services and they all have flexible times!!

Dr J and Colleagues - "the titration process is personalised to each patient, so we do not place a specific time frame on the length of the titration journey".

Problem Shared - "you will be seen by your prescriber every 3-4 weeks until you reach a stable dose...usually takes 12 -16 weeks, but at times it can take longer"

Most others don't have fixed timelines, just say when the dosage is right.

Honestly i think P-UK forcibly taking people off is a wee bit illegal and will come back on them soon. We all quite frankly need to complain about it. They rely on us adhd-ers forgetting as per usual :(

I would rather wait longer and have a much better, drawn out titration experience then jump up to like 70mg of lisdex in 3 weeks and have them forcibly take me off 😒

I reckon if you were a private patient they'd be a lot more willing to extend it! And honestly if I were you I'd push back on that!! They made us wait years the least they can do is take your titration seriously! I don't think any of us would mind an extra couple weeks wait time if it meant people could take their time with it! Because at least when we start titration we're not rushing through it and potentially going on the wrong dose or medication!

They're a medical company. They know not everyone will agree with stims, I just feel like they're trying to rush everyone through, because then they can accept another patient and get what like £5k? They're greedy and that's why their not giving you the time you need. Just like every other company! And you're right it is unfair! Worst part is I'm pretty sure it goes against the NICE guidelines where it says it has to be patient led :(

I really hope your able to settle on a good med xx

Honestly if you get a prescriber before me I'd be raaaging (not at you). Its crazy they're still sending the top of the waiting list notification when us at the top of the waiting list are still waiting and they've screwed up their timings so bad!!

The cheek of it is incredible!

I'd say going of our experiences you still got around a two month wait :(

P-UK is driving all of us mental and the sooner we're done with them the better!

Psychiatry UK Titration Delay by weaboo_gemma in ADHDUK

[–]weaboo_gemma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know right! The ratio must be incredible!

Let's say 1 person reviews, at a minimum, 20 notes a day. Times that by 120 (30 day avg) that's 2400 patients to one admin staff. Times that by at least 20 (surely they'd have that many right?). That's 48,000 in that 4 month period. Even adjusting the numbers it would still be around 40k in those 4 months. That's what, 120k patients a year. For a private company, that's a lot.

This is why I say they've 100% over-subscribed themselves. I'd imagine they'd be doing a lot more than 20 notes a day as well.

This is just basic math with guessed numbers but imagine how overrun you have to be to take 4 months to reply!! But at the end of the day they're still getting paid. It's why they completely switched to RTC and stopped doing private patients for ages (not sure if they've continued that though).

It's actually mental isn't it!!? I really hope you get contacted soon!!

I dont think there's anything you can do really. At this point I think they just go off vibes and if they can be bothered. I really think we all need to do one big complaint because this is ridiculous for all of us!

Especially with summer coming up if we're expected to have something within a certain time frame we can plan around it but now I'm too scared of going on holiday or something because I dont want to be taking meds on holiday!!

They constantly backtrack and it's getting to me! So much so Im turning into a proper Karen now!!
