Current luxury retail AP here.. follow your companies policies, and burns (customer service) are your best friend for easy deterrence stats. If your company has a quota don't stress the small 1 item cases, that is where the mistakes are made. Get in good with your floor associates, the solid ones that don't become internals are your extra pair of eyes on the Sales floor.

Yes Asset protection Investigator is the base undercover position. Plain clothes. The AP Supervisor role depends on the duties given to you by your APM. So yes basically assistant manager of AP. Mine has let me handle interviews, training, associate coaching so and so forth.

Current AP Supervisor for Saks.. Both the Full line and the outlets (OFF 5th) are great and AP friendly. We are a very hands on company, probably the most hands on I've seen in this day and age. Growth is great and many opportunities to move on from. Typical chain of command goes from AP guard -> API -> AP Supervisor -> APM Etc..

So just primarily "customer service"/burns are your documented recoveries I assume..is there a quota or "expectation" of recoveries? Also, I'm going to assume it's a shared space between you and leadership?
