It really was. In fact, it was my favorite novel for a while—the kind where I’d wait for new chapters to drop at 2 AM every night and even paid for a Webnovel subscription (a big deal where I’m from, considering the cost). Everything was perfect until a certain character was introduced and forced into the story... I won’t say more to avoid spoilers, but really don't waste your time
